We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSome computer error between Booking.com and the resort had cancelled our reservation before we arrived. This caused a delay on checking in, but Chris and his team reacted quickly and we got to our Grande Butler Suite within a couple of hours of arrival.
Great staff, great rooms (especially the Grande Butler Suite), nice food, and a great vibe. Have stayed many times and always enjoy. Located very close to the airport so very convenient after or before a long haul flight. Feels like family. Highly recommended for a 7 night romantic break.

United StatesFood on the coconut bay side could’ve had some more variation and it would’ve been great if more of the restaurants were open more frequently.
Staff were amazing, food at the main restaurant at serenity was great, everyone was super helpful and kind, etc.

United StatesWe walked over to the larger Coconut Bay resort. This on the same property but clearly separate. Serenity customers have access but there was no reason to leave our own area except for the fitness center. The fitness center is with the larger resort, probably 50 yards from Serenity, so very convenient. The fitness center is dated and would benefit from a renovation. They have many restaurants at Coconut Bay but there is really no need to go over there for eating.
Stayed four nights at Serenity at Coconut Bay resort. It was exceptional. Very private. Very relaxing. The best part was the staff. They were very attentive and thorough in their service. Our butler was Narissa and she was great. Ray filled in for her on one day and he was also first rate. The butlers really make the experience and both were very good (both were 10 out of 10). We had most of our meals in the Greathouse restaurant. Many choices on the manu. The food was very good (overall 8 out of 10 but the lamb was 10 out of 10). Service was even better. Ginel was terrific and we enjoyed getting to know her a little bit. Also, wanted to mention Tyler as doing a good job. We had breakfast in our room almost every day. What a great joy! We rented a beach cabana on two days. Our butler had a drink cooler ready for us when we arrived and brought us lunch when we ordered it. The bartender at the beach did a good job. Kevin was terrific at the bar by the pool. The rooms were very large with a private outdoor area and a plunge pool. Serenity is not actually on the beach - a 3-4 min walk. We weren't sure if this would bother us, but it was no a big deal. We could walk to the beach if we wanted. The beach cabanas were a little further so we just asked our butler for a ride in the golf cart which was a 5 min ride. Serenity supplies you with your own phone that has the preprogrammed contact number for the butler and room service to contact either when needed. Serenity is less than 10 min from the airport. Some of the other resorts on the island are 1-2 hours from the airport. Highly recommend Serenity.

United StatesThere was a particular food (avocados) that was important for our daily diet. It was very difficult to consistently get these without our butler having to deal with it nearly every day. Also, since the resort beach is on the Atlantic side of the island, it was not a good time to spend on the beach because of the high winds and the constant issue with seaweed in the water and piled up on the beach.
staff was great and usually attentive to our needs. Our butler McCarthy was absolutely fantastic! There is a lot to do on the island too, which helps add to the experience.

United StatesOnly issue we ran into on the trip was towards end ran out of on-hand cash to tip or buy stuff from local venders that didn't except a card. With that being said a lot of shopping and activities if extra on resort can charge to room. We asked if there was an ATM at resort but their wasn't which would of been nice. They said we could possibly if went into town or back to airport. Only other issue we had while there is we lost TV for a couple days but was out of resorts control. Plus I was on vacation so I wasn't watching much but to see news.
The staff from butler (Davidson) to housekeepers (5 over stay duration) were all fantastic. I liked that weather we stayed in bungalow the whole time or went out visiting island to enjoy other activities. Resort overall had many restaurants and a little shopping. Also had plenty of events planned over course of week so you can be as busy or chill as want too. All food and drinks I tried were delicious. We actually didn't get to do or try everything so definitely could return again for more adventure. If you like working out on vacation they also had a decent gym !
