Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyVery small details only. The rooms are accessible only by fairly steep stairs. There were small steps, of few centimeters but deadly, all over the place, which we hit several times: at the room entrance, at the entrance to the bathroom from the room, etc. The restaurant has a limited menu and is on the expensive side; but it's good.
The building, since we like old structures well kept with nice wooden floors, nice carpets, nice furniture but at the same time everything working OK. The staff was friendly, nice, pleasant and even funny at times. The room was huge, very clean and well furnished, with a huge and comfortable bed. Despite being on the main road, the room was perfectly quiet. The bathroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good, considering that it had to be prepared only for the two of us. Parking lot closeby and free. The location was convenient for a walk downtown.

United KingdomThe rooms in this historic building were both spacious and beautifully decorated. Tastefully traditional. Our rooms had a spectacular view of Vaduz Castle. Breakfast was delicious and the food overall was of a really high quality (we ate dinner in the hotel on our second evening). The location was very convenient to the centre of Vaduz. A special mention also to the staff of the hotel who were very helpful and professional. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you!

United KingdomI love this hotel. It is very much a traditional hotel so don't expect all the mod cons, but the staff could not be more helpful, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the food is amazing and it is perfectly located in central Vaduz.

GermanyIf I am picky, towels could be larger. Internet connection is weak The whole place is just incredibly expensive. Comparable to other places in Vaduz but you would normally pay a third to half the price less for the standard of the room
It is beautiful hotel comfy bed, a good shower, an excellent location very close to a bus stop. The breakfast is and the whole place has superb service the view to the winery is delightful. The restaurant at night is also excellent

United StatesVery loud construction directly outside the hotel though we were given complimentary ear plugs. Rooms were stuffy and had poor air circulation so the fan was not very helpful. Wish that we could have converted one of our double rooms into a triple — it certainly would have been large enough!
Historic building in the middle of Vaduz with a really nice view of Vaduz castle. Staff was very friendly. I think we were given a complimentary upgrade because our rooms were gigantic!!

CanadaThe larger beds are old-style individual carved wooden twin beds pushed together, which I loved but others may not. Unfortunately, there was also road construction blocking most of the main road right outside the hotel when I visited, making it slightly difficult to get to the front door (though this is not the hotel's fault).
This centuries-old coach house remains sympathetically and beautifully preserved, with a small winery next door and views of Vaduz castle from the window. Centuries of character are on display, including a massive traditional wine press, a converted stable, and beautiful dining room. I was offered an upgrade and the room was stunning, sunny and traditionally-furnished but with a beautiful modern bathroom. The breakfast was comprehensive and delicious, and the hotel is relatively well-positioned close to the centre of Vaduz. Stay here!

ArmeniaMy husband had absolutely incredible impressions from his stay at Gasthof Löwen Hotel. In this a remarkable ancient building where he felt a welcomed and dear guest. Staff and management are impeccably polite, friendly, doing their best to serve client’s needs and special requests. They are so humble and caring while doing their job brilliantly! Their business is not about making money- this is just a part of the story, just a fair compensation for the great service. Their business is about making their guests feeling happy, welcomed, calm and safe. Whatever issue one may have - it immediately is treated properly and respectfully. Besides this, the food is fresh and tasty. Some days my husband was the only guest at the hotel - and the breakfast was served just for him! Rooms and linen are very clean, equipment is stylised as ancient but is modern and works well. It’s quiet at night- great soundproof windows. Beautiful furniture and very comfortable beds! Before that choice we had a very negative experience with the other hotel network in the region because their business was more about real estate management not people. And Gasthof Lowen Hotel is about people- staff and their welcomed guests! Thank you so much for our great days with you!

United StatesThe climate was fairly warm and being on the top floor with no ac meant we would sleep with the windows open, thus making it a bit noisy from the road. However with the windows closed it was very quiet.
My husband and I stayed for two nights, and liked the quaintness of the property. The oldest part of the property is from 1380 and there have been enlargements and modernization throughout the centuries. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a very good prix fixe menu.

United KingdomThe hotel is on the main road and therefore a little noisy but the soundproofing was good so with the windows closed it was possible to shut out all of the traffic noise.
I stayed for 2 days as a solo traveller and was made to feel very welcome. The staff were so friendly and helpful, special mention to Yenny, who took very good care of me. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I also ate here one evening and the food was very good. My room was spacious, light and very well appointed, with a lovely view of the castle (shame about the scaffolding surrounding it!) Easy walking distance of the centre of Vaduz and also directly on several main bus routes. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

United StatesI did not like that I had to leave so soon. I wish, I could have extended my holiday a few more days so that I could see more of Liechtenstein. The people here are very friendly, thoughtful and the city is lovely.
The Hotel Gasthof Lowen hotel is also a foundation. It´s building is 600 years old. Inside the foundation has preserved, for the pleasure of the guests all their traditional furniture and paintings. The manager Herbert and his team of people were extra kind to me. The made me a special vegetarian breakfast and made me a special sandwich. My hotel room was extremely large, comfortable, elegant and had windows on all sides of the room where one can enjoy the Alps and the vineyards. I think, it was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I hope to go back to Vaduz in the future and see more of Liechtenstein. Vaduz has wonderful museums and an impressive collection of public art including the Voluminous Woman by the Colombian artsit Botero. Vaduz, is definitely worth a visit.
