Great location, 4 min to the lighthouse in Galle, nice galleries and restaurants in old town. Warmhearted family hosts caring and sharing, nice breakfast. Authentic old town house, rooms are well maintained, good furniture, very clean and modern bathroom. Great balcony and little lounge to hang out on the first floor. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back, THANK YOU!

We loved our stay at Albert Guest. The lady and her daughter who run it are so warm and kind. They made us delicious breakfasts both mornings and allowed us to do our laundry for a small charge. This was greatly appreciated. The room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom and a balcony which we enjoyed. The location could not be better as it is 2 minutes to the lighthouse, beach and to walk the ramparts. We had a fabulous time in Galle and will recommend it to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Pedlar’s Inn restaurant as well. Thank you

Fantastic location in the fort this 3 room home stay was great value for money. Best breakfast we have had in Sri Lanka cooked by a lovely family. We had a great time in Galle and this stay was so close to everything! We walked from the train station (took us about 15 minutes with backpacks). Would definitely stay again.

My stay at this accommodation was truly pleasant. The room provided one of the best hot showers I experienced during my entire stay in Sri Lanka, adding a touch of luxury to my visit. What stood out even more was the thoughtful inclusion of weighted mosquito nets, which felt more protective compared to other places. The net remained undisturbed by the air conditioning, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location was excellent, centrally situated with easy access to lovely restaurants and cafes, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable visit. The staff was uncomplicated and accommodating, making the overall experience hassle-free. Nights were quiet, allowing for a restful sleep.

What a sweet guesthouse in beautiful Galle. The mother and daughter owners were completely lovely and cooked the BEST breakfast of our entire trip in Sri Lanka, and we had a lot of good breakfast traveling around!

The location is right in the center. The rooms are quite adequate. Air conditioning works well, the balcony is very pleasant. The owners are very attentive and the breakfast is really great. I stayed here for the second time and I will stay here again when I come to Galle

This was one of my worst experiences in a hotel. I have encountered staff that were lazy, unhelpful, rude, unfriendly, etc., but I have never been treated with open hostility. I arrived by train in the morning and just wanted to leave my bag. There was no one there except an elderly man in a sarong. He put me on the phone with a woman who said she was at a meeting. She was FURIOUS at me for arriving so early, as if I have a say in when the trains run. Oddly, after I hung up the old man took me upstairs and opened a room for me. I walked in on an understandably upset man. I apologized, and closed the door. Then the old man took me to a room across the hall, which had two beds. I had not booked two beds. So I redialed the woman I spoke to and she got angry, again, at ME. "You can't have that room! It has two beds!" At this point I considered just finding another hotel but I worried they would charge me. I came back at 11 and the woman told me to come back at 12. I went back at 12 and she said to go back at 2. I went back at 2 and ended up getting in the room at 3:30. This is a tiny guest house and there were no other guests! The room is listed at over 1,000 sq ft lol but in truth it's less than 100. I had to scooch sideways to get between the bed and the wall. There is nowhere to put clothes, so I emptied my backpack onto my bed. I booked the room because I was enticed by the balcony. I envisioned sitting there in the evening and watching the street scene. I had been to Galle before and should have realized I never saw anyone on a balcony. The balcony overlooks the back alley. There is nothing to see. The family kitchen is directly below the guest rooms. I snuck down in the morning to use the family kettle to make coffee, since there were no food or drink options of any kind.

Really central location in galle fort . The room was very clean ,beds comfortable, aircon powerful and free WiFi. Big terrace spotted a peacock on the roof across the road one morning amazing. The family that run the guest house are lovely. Very welcoming and fabulous breakfast. Highly recommend.. tania and Mike
