EstoniaThe rooms is beyond tired. You can tell that housekeeping is trying to keep us clean by the overwhelming smell of cleaning products when you first walk into the room. However, no amount of Ajax can get rid of mildew. Which is everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Like the ceiling. And the floors. And the walls. And do yourself a favor and don’t even look at the AC on the wall. The bedding smelled really weird and all I can say is thank god we spent only one night there - would not want to sleep in that bed ever again.
The only thing to like about this hotel is its close proximity to the airport if that’s what you’re looking for. Some of the staff were super friendly and helpful, like the guys working in the bar. But the staff at the reception spoke very little English, kept giggling and speaking in their local language and made us feel very awkward.

Good mix of Western and Srilankan food, I and my wife loved the Srilankan food!! The resort faces the Negombo lagoon and we took a motorboat ride with Deva to the wetlands, it was very peaceful and tranquil with lots of birds, monkeys and also one moniter lizard. The peace and quiet of this resort takes away all the tension, and helps me relax and plan.

Austria- all 4 mattresses were catastrophically old, worn out (first time this happened in 14 days Sri Lanka staying in much more modest accommodation before) - we had booked double beds and were 'upgraded' to better view but separate beds, we asked for additional linen for our third child (who had to sleep in the crack of the two separate beds) and staff was strangely reluctant to comply immediately explaining we could use the other 2 linens to bridge the gap (?). no mention of an extra bed (which to be fair we did not explicitly asked for). - staff miss-punched the charged amount to pay in Rupies instead of Dollars, the transaction costs are mine - uncomfortable infestation of the pool area with crows, pool mostly in the shade after 3pm (maybe therefore nice and cool) - classical example of a probably once nice hotel run down by current management

Sri LankaThe bathroom was not clean, and the shower area's water was not properly drained. The comodde sheet has several stains, making it doubtful that it has been adequately cleaned every day. It was a worst experience I was disappointed that there was no worm welcoming compared to other hotels we visited, and that there were some service issues. We ordered water bottles in our room. However, after an hour we received three reminders.
The hotel environment is quite nice and pleasant. Nice scenery, lakes, etc.

United KingdomAwfully slow/ non existent service at the restaurant. Food was cold on arrival and tasteless. They had a very expensive buffet on and staff didn’t seem to want to provide other options. Room was not clean and bathroom full of ants, and there was a dead ant in the bed. Bed itself was very uncomfortable & lighting dark in room. Music was played very loudly outside until 10pm, which was odd for an “airport hotel” preventing us from sleeping before an early flight. Don’t stay here if flying early the next day!

United KingdomWe stayed on this hotel in June, on our previous trip we were upgraded to a suite and it was lovely. This time we booked a deluxe lagoon view room, the room was very tired. There was no water or toiletries, the internet did not work in the room. The TV remote did not work. There was a gap in the sliding doors even when they were locked and because of this we were eaten by mosquitoes. I thought I had found the perfect hotel when flying out of Bandaranaike Airport on my frequent visits however my search continues.
Breakfast was ok, coffee was very poor.

IndiaThere weren't any charging sockets around the bed. Also, they haven't provided a travel adapter in the room too. The washroom didn't had a hand towel. No conditioners in washroom for such a humid weather. In the breakfast, they didn't had any fresh juice and only one canned juice. Vegetarian options were good but when we asked for vegetable bun which was just finished - they said it will 10 minutes but they never got back to us even after 30 minutes. Moreover, they removed the food plate name for the vegetable bun.
The hotel pool and management was good. The room size were big enough and they upgraded us to a higher category room without asking for it.
