Polite and friendly hosts, very welcoming, not pushy at all. Away from the busy street. Very peaceful. Short walk to the main street, via a shortcut. Loved sitting at the balcony. Beautiful view. Constant cool breeze. Comfortable chairs. Freshly prepared home-cooked breakfast. Drinking water dispenser.

This was one of the most lovely stays in Sri Lanka. The view is so much better than on the pictures and the family is super nice. The breakfast is great! I would really, really recommend.

Everything was perfect. We were warm welcomed with a Sri Lankan tea. Owners are really lovely and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were extremely delicious. We had also trip to Lipton’s seat arranged by the host. The view from the common area is stunning. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property is located in the walking distance from the rail station. Nothing to complain about - highly recommended :)

This place is a great find. The guest house is clean & comfortable. The views from the balcony are simply stunning. The breakfast was very good. The owners of the guest house are very kind people. I messaged ahead to say I’d been unwell & they arranged for me to see the doctor.

Unfortunately our room (King-size bed with mountain view) had a lot of mold on the walls and ceiling. After leaving the windows and door open all afternoon and during the night the moldy smell was gone and we could really enjoy the room again. We know that Haputale is often very humid and misty but this was just a lot and can probably be improved by leaving the windows open making sure there is enough airflow.

Really beautiful view from the terrace and our room (King-size bed and mountain view). The hosts were super nice and spoke good English. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot. Breakfast was plenty and delicious! The family dinner was amazing:) Besides the mold problem in our room this place definitely earns a 10!!

Because of the geographical location its really humid! So the room was a bit smelly and moldy. They should really try to resolve this situation

The owners were really amazing, they made us feel like home and part of their family. I strongly recommend to eat dinner at their restaurant. The family will cook home made curry which was really incredible (one of the best we had in Sri Lanka). The Room was huge

The room had no AC. There was mould or mildew everywhere. Humidity was insane and while this is not the Inn's fault, they do nothing to decrease its levels.

The view is nice. The host family was friendly, we felt welcomed there. There was a water dispencer in the dining room.

We loved our stay at Amaya! It's a very cosy place with an amazing host. He helped us with advise for activities and was very friendly. The breakfast and dinner were amazing! We very much recommend a stay here. The location is very good, in the city of Haputale and in a walking distance from the station. The views here were amazing. We would love to come back!

This place was one that exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very friendly and kind. The scenery that came with the amazing location was so pleasant to the eyes. And the food was very “like home” to us (We’re Sri Lankan). The room was very spacious, with a nice clean bathroom. Overall the stay here was very relaxing.

Beautiful property, outstanding views, excellent hospitality and service, awesome breakfast. The host was very welcoming and caring. He gave us lots of suggestions for things to do and also organised a tuk tuk driver for us. It’s a short walk to the train station and eating places. Any questions or concerns were immediately attended to. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this homestay and we would happily stay again!

The place is exceptional in every aspect, hospitality, cleanliness, facilities, helpfulness, breakfasts, room, are alll excellent and the view from the balcony, dining room and our bedroom was amazing. We also got lots of useful tips regarding travel, where to eat in town and what local buses to catch to visit neighbouring locations from the incredibly friendly family. I cant recommend this accommodation highly enough. The best place we have stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Room smelled like damp.

The most amazing view from this property, the best view we’ve had after 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Nice balcony area to sit and relax. The owners were amazing and super friendly. Food was great.
