We arrived at the end of a month long trip around Sri Lanka, stopping over on our way from Jaffna to Negombo. We were exhausted and found the guest house to be tranquil, comfortable and hospitable. Exactly what we needed! I had an amazing sleep. The owners were kind and helpful, and quickly prepared us a lovely breakfast before we hit the road again. The pool was ideal to cool off in after a long drive. We didn't set out to explore the sights of Anuradhapura but I could see there were bikes there so I'm sure it would be a good base for this.

Predeep and Deepika were fabulous. Warm, welcoming and humorous from the start. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the accommodation is lovely, away from the hustle and hustle of town. The pool was small but a perfect way to cool down at the end of the day.

The staff are charming and very helpful. Dibika is a fantastic cook. We loved the view over the paddy fields from our room. Although small, the pool is very refreshing. The property is in a quiet location but you can walk to a good local restaurant if you want to. It’s handy for the sites. We enjoyed having a sofa in our room. Not a common feature in Sri Lanka. We look forward to returning to Andorra resort one day.

I had an amazing experience staying at the Andorra Rest House in Anuradhapura! The hospitality was top-notch, with the kindest service from the staff, especially the warm-hearted akka and ayya who made us feel like family. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to key attractions. The food was absolutely delicious, each meal a treat to the taste buds! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Anuradhapura – you won't be disappointed!

Lovely helpful owners. The room is comfortable with a great view over the paddy fields. A little out of town, but just a short tuk tuk ride and a pretty setting away from the chaos! Really well situated to visit the old town (the owners lent me a bike) and for the bus to minhintale.

Our hosts Predeep and Deepika were absolutely fabulous. There was nothing they wouldn't help with and always had the biggest smiles. They really made our stay. Assisting with transport, local knowledge and history. Breaky was also delicious especially those coconut pancakes. We were even given a bigger family room, as in their words 'ooh you are big people' 😅

Around the accommodation were dark remote streets which felt a bit shady to walk at night as women. The streets lead to a big busy street. It was fine when you ordered a Tuktuk to come pick you up at the accommodation.

First of all our room had an amazing views over the fields and mountain in the distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always there when you needed something. Everything was clean. The pool was a bit smaller than we expected but it was nice and clean as well. The accommodation is small overall, with a little terrace where you can have breakfast. Breakfast was good!

AMAZING! The owners were so lovely they felt like family and I didn't want to leave. It says male dorm but this isn't correct. They have separate male and female dorms and I had the dorm to myself. The breakfast was amazing and filling as were the dinners. I rented a bike and cycled 4km to the ancient citadel of the Bodhi Tree and stargate. I had a tour guide for this but the night before I had sat and had a conversation with Pradeep, the owner, who told me everything about it. We spent time talking about different cultures and the guide didn't tell me anything new that Pradeep hadn't already told me... he is a very knowledgeable man. The pool actually had depth and was clean as was everything else. This place is the best place I've stayed in sri lanka and great value for money... my 2 day plan turned into 6 and I would go back definitely.

Definitely one of the best stays in Sri Lanka! Very nice place with a pool! Nothing better than a pool in these very hot days. The dorm is very clean and the bathroom too. Towel, toilet paper, wifi, AC - I couldn't wish for more. The breakfast is super delicious and big 🤤 Very quiet area surrounded by rice fields. The owners are really lovely ppl. Thank you ! 😉👍

The accommodation is close to other hotels, but still feels a bit distant (you cannot easily walk to restaurants). And the room is very good value for money, but expect the basics: shower needs to be held by hand, everything will be wet after showering, etc.

The hosts of this hotel are amazing, they make the place completely. Very nice food, besides breakfast you can also have dinner. Pool is small and a bit awkwardly placed in the garden, but still very nice to cool off after a day. We also liked the view onto the rice fields from our balcony.
