Homestay with basic rooms and bathrooms. Fanned small dorms, no lockers, no kitchen. Still, great location for going around the town, good terrace, and amazing neighbourhood (in the forest). I cannot recommend it for amenities but would stay there again because it worked perfectly for my needs (sleep, go out, walking distance to everything). Worth noting that there were multiple double-bookings during my stay (including my own) so maybe find a local to ring them beforehand and confirm.

Returned to the hostel in the afternoon after exploring the fort and discovered there was no electricity. The heat was unbearable, so I decided to check out early.

The location is walkable from Galle Fort and bus stand. Room was clean and spacious.

The room and the bathroom were both very clean and tidy. The room provided clean sheets and towels. We had a comfortable stay at the place. The staff was polite and friendly as well.

I loved the staff here, they were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms had AC and were very comfortable. Also the activities they were able to organise (jewellery and cooking class) seemed very good value and enjoyable. Awesome location as still relatively quiet but only 5-10min walk from the fort.

Nice location, short walk to the fort. Ac in the room was nice. One shared bathroom had a warm shower with decent pressure. But the bathroom could have been cleaner.

There are 3 toilets but only 1 working shower, the other bathroom needs refurbishment and fixing Location a bit far.and not easiest to walk. Laundry service a bit pricey 1000lkr

I liked the overall vibe, the balcony, the fact that during the first night I had only 2 people.in the room. It is surrounded by trees so not much noise coming from the main road

The location is great as it is in the city center; the fort, bus stand, and train station are all within 15 minutes walk. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and barbershops in the area. You can pretty much get anything you need

The hostess is very cheerful and kind. Locate the place where could get from galle train station on foot.

Just a bit weird, at 7.45 am the owner (a guy) came into my room and check the bed sheet and he knows i was still laying in bed but later he came back with the bed sheet and put it on..i quickly sit down on the bed and quickly fix my clothes. Again @9 am. After i finished shower..he return into my room again and sweep the floor..why can't he do it after check out time? Or when i was not there? Or why not the women did all those thing..there were 2 women in the house.!! I didnt feel comfortable...& the way he looked at me.

The 1st night was hot as i was just alone in the 6 bed room..so AC was not on unles i pay extra, but the 2nd night the room was full and ac was on.

Only one bathroom was actually able to be used. The others didn't have any toilet paper, nor soap. I am sure this can be changed easily!

Backpackers hostel was a good choice. It's a nice, comfortable hostel, located close to downtown. The staff tried their best all the time, with a smile on their faces. During my stay, they improved their safety measures, which I appreciated a lot!
