There is only one shower/toilet on the first floor (another toilet is downstairs), there is no water refill

A few minor things that can easily be sorted or could just be preference, but a small mirror in the room, a rubbish bin and curtains for the window would be great. The bathroom was shared between most of the rooms and I could imagine that being very busy although it was just me and one other staying there at the time so was fine. It could be a little cleaner, not just on the floor but the walls and shelves from gecko droppings. Not sure what can be done about this but unfortunately there were a few dogs just outside that barked all night. I’m quite a light sleeper so it did disturb me. Not sure if they have owners - maybe they could be kept inside during the night. Nothing much I didn’t like, it was a perfectly pleasant one night stay.

The two sisters who were running it were very friendly and welcoming. I stayed in one of the private rooms, the bed was very comfortable and with air conditioning. The location was just a short walk to Galle Fort. You could use the kitchen and fridge which was handy and the water was drinkable for refills. They also had a little balcony with comfy seating which was a nice touch. The shower was powerful with hot and cold water with space to hang your clothes and towel. Great for one or two nights while in Galle!

I cannot say a lot about the vibe of the hostel because I went in off-season so I was the only one in my room.

Loved the friendliness and the hospitality! You can reach Galle Fort by foot and there are many shops and restaurants around. The room and the washroom were clean.

Easy access to Galle fort ,Train station/Main Bus stand &. Main Road . Recommend for solo travellers and Groups for buddget stays. Spacious Rooms & Bathrooms. Ownwrs are very helpful .

Hotel manager's behaviour is not good. Not too much clean the property. They charged extra money. Booking money was different.

My room had no windows or air con. It did have 2 fans which helped but it was so stuffy even so. The bathroom could have been nicer/cleaner as well.

The room wasn't cleaned. The floor was dirty and there was a used towel in the room when I arrived. The one bathroom that is shared by all the rooms looked disgusting. I'm glad I only booked it for one night.

The private room was hot and stuffy and tiny. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was musty. Upkeep of facilities was poor.

It wasn’t very clean - the bathrooms were quite shabby and dirty, only small chunks of hand soap provided, there was spots of what we think was blood on the wall, there were holes in the roof

This is not my kind of stay. I am ok to compromise with facilities, location of the place but not with cleanliness. In this hostel facilities are also basic and cleanliness is below basic. One of the dirtiest hostel I have ever stayed. The bathroom and even the Dorm was smelly. The smell that can’t be tolerated for long stay. The common area in 1st floor infront of the dorm doesn’t have a fan. What is the point of keeping such a hot & sweaty common area. The dorm is in 1st floor and locker is in ground floor. Everytime you want something you have to go downstairs. Also the guy in the hostel(I don’t know who is he) was staring very weirdly. Felt very uncomfortable. I am not sure about people who had positive experience here, but for me this is big no place. Considering all these negative things I felt the price is bit costlier.

First good thing is the location, which is really close to Railway station, bus stand and even the fort. 10 - 15 mins walk from the hostel. WiFi speed was quite good in common area.
