Bara Beach is a curated and very beautiful beach bar with different types of accommodations, the staff is super nice and friendly. I spent there 5 night and on Saturday they organized a party with dj set which was so funny and everyone staying there enjoyed the atmosphere. If you want to go sleep with waves sounds and get up and have fresh fruit to start the day and visiting the south region is the place where to be. Located in Boossa beach is well connected to most of the surrounding areas of interest.

We ran out of water in the evening, which was a bit inconvenient. Water, coffee or tea were not in the room. There was an empty mini-fridge and a kettle and alot of other facilities.

Very nice room with a great view on our own little beach. Bath on the porch was awesome aswell. People were very relaxed in the short time we've seen them. Good place to escape a bit from the busy city life. Glad we went a bit further than the city centre of Galle.

The bathroom in the female dorm isn’t that clean and especially the trash should get cleaned more often.

I was nursing an ankle injury and wasn’t drinking or dancing, but staff repeatedly assumed I was upset about the music—even though I hadn’t complained and kindly assured them I didn’t mind. It seemed they’d had complaints in the past (they don't advertise about these nights) and were projecting those experiences onto me, which made things feel a bit uncomfortable and impacted the overall vibe. I think they prefer their guests to participate fully in their party nights, so keep that in mind when booking.

The entire property is set up for chilling and relaxing. The view is gorgeous, the variety of seating areas is much appreciated, and the food is not just delicious but beautifully presented as well. The rooms are what you would expect for the low price and everything, including the bathrooms, is very clean. On Saturdays they have an incredible DJ, great music, and fun vibes. It's a really nice place to chill during the day on a beautiful beach.

Bad WiFi

I really loved the location, because it's right on the beach. You could fall asleep with the ocean view. The beach is private and clean. The food was amazing and the hosts were always there if we needed help (we had problems finding a bus to the airport and the host called a driver and booked the ride for us). There might be some parties with DJs so if you're a light sleeper, good luck :) It's a perfect place to relax in any kind of weather.

The dorms were a little hot at night with only one fan and no AC. WiFi is poor.

The place has an amazing atmosphere. There is a bar with half price cocktails between 6 and 7.30. The food is delicious. It is right on the beach and buses run regularly to Galle Fort and Hikaduwa. The staff are super friendly. The girls dorm was cheap, spacious and clean. Very good value for money. You can watch the sunset from the decking. I would definitely go back.

Probably the facilities could be better. I don’t know about the situation in the private rooms, but for sure is a point where you can improve.

The property is stunning. I ended staying here for more than a week, and absolutely loved it. Best place in Sri Lanka. Bara Beach is in my heart thanks to the real beachfront hostel and the kind staff. What I loved the most is waking up and see the sea in front of me. And you can stay all the time in the hostel as they have an amazing kitchen. One of the best food I had in Sri Lanka as well. I appreciate the presentation of the plates, which many times is ignored. Can be loud, but its part of the experience. Try to avoid if you dont like or try to stay during the weekend. On saturday they usually have some live music and a dj set. On Thursdays the same is happening in a nearby hostel. Absolutely reccomended

It doesnt really look like on the pictures. The cabanas are literally squeezed within the bar area... It was so loud at night... I couldn't sleep till 3 o clock, even using earplugs... So I just canceled any further nights... Would be great if the staff could be more considerate of the hostel guests and tell people at the bar to be quiet after midnight... The beach is very small but okay for swimming.

Its a cheap accomondation right at the beach with a good restaurant and bar. The place is not super perfect clean, but good (more than I expected for the money). The restaurant and bar area is perfect to relax with a lot of cosy sunbeds.

We fell in love with this place. We stayed in one of the “tree houses”. The room is modest and the washroom is in common and downstairs, so it’s not the best of the comforts, but it’s all worth it! You are right on a beautiful long beach, and the mood you can feel in this colourful place is quite unique.

The location of this place is incredible and great value for money. The guys running it were super awesome. Friendly and accommodating from the moment I arrived. Food and drinks were delicious and all great value for money. Great place to chill and retreat from being on the move with a nice vibe in the evening. Thank you guys for an awesome stay. It could get noisy living in a bar on the beach with music and ocean sounds. Keep in mind it’s a simple room - no luxury, but a clean room and a fan and sheets.

Right on the beach. Value for money. The food was so amazing! Delicious breakfast! The staff was very friendly and responsive. It’s not expensive and the room is simple but what you need. You should know that people party here (and the drinks are good). Neighbourhoodwith lots of beach bars and easy access to swimming

What can I say ..on arrival I was greeted and immediately made to feel Very Welcome by the AWESOME Staff You can’t help but to RELAX here..the food is AMAZING and beautifully presented..the location is PARADISE directly on the beach and Happy 2hours to watch the sun set on the beach was Heaven..I will be back ❤️
