Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnfortunately we saw very little on the safari. A lot of deer and peacocks but nothing exciting. We were told there was a leopard on top of some rocks about a mile away, but even with binoculars we couldn’t see it. It’s not a safari park so of course you can’t guarantee seeing particular animals, but we were quite disappointed having been to Minneriya a couple of years ago where there was an abundance of elephants and wildlife, so we were expecting to see more. It would be great if there was tea and coffee available at all times in the camp rather than just after the safari. There’s a board with a schedule of events in the reception area such as crafts and cooking classes, but none took place. There are board games and books advertised too but there was only one old chess set and a library of battered and faded old books, mostly in German, so bring your own entertainment!
Tents were a bit cramped for 3 people, we were effectively sleeping in one bed as there was no space between them, but we all slept really well despite the squeeze. Was not expecting dinner to be a 3 course affair at a candle lit table or to be waited on by staff! Unfortunately the food was cold when it arrived and wasn’t the best, but there was plenty of it and we hadn’t eaten since breakfast, so we ate it without complaint. This was definitely a no frills, rustic experience, but that’s what we were after as we thought it would be more exciting for our daughter than staying in a hotel. The guided walk after dinner was a bonus and there was a nice ambience in the camp at supper with lit torches all around which children could toast marshmallows on. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, couldn’t fault them.

TurkeyThis was a tented ecological camp stay which we very much enjoyed the concept. Our room had every facility we simply needed. The food was delicious. The staff were helpful and nice. The only downfall was the safari we booked from the hotel. Unfortunately, our driver was unexperienced and rushed us during the jeep safari. The jeep itself was really comfortable though compared to other safaris we went.

United KingdomThe cost. It did feel a little bit expensive for what we got. Paying $130 for 2 nights in a tent and then being charged $260 for extras felt a bit much.
The grounds were great, the staff were great and overall we had a great experience.

United KingdomThey really need to improve their billing process. Instead of constantly asking for payment, they could simply handle all bills at checkout. It felt unnecessary and intrusive—did they really think customers would run off, especially when we're in the middle of nowhere? At one point, a staff member even asked if we had settled all our bills. Surely, they have a record, so why put that responsibility on customers? It felt disorganised and unnecessary.
Most staff are friendly and welcoming..

AustraliaWe were told to be up and ready for early safari at 5:15am but didn’t leave until 6. We had kids so we would have preferred more sleep. We weren’t told about the change of park entry to the further park entrance until on the way there and had to drive much further. We understand it was to avoid a very busy area that particular day but it would have been nice to know or to be involved in the decision.
The bbq cook up was great and generous. The afternoon walk was so informative and interesting. We saw lots of elephants on our safari. Staff were very helpful. Great service always

BelgiumNext to the tiny beds in the curtains were glowworms or something like that. They even crawled over the linens. A little bit creepy. Other than that, the tents were perfect.
We stayed for 1 night in the family tent. I couldn’t find sufficient pictures online so here I share some. We were actually surprised by the luxury of the tents. It’s quite spacious. Everything is also clean. We booked an afternoon safari in Yala with our stay. The safari was great as our driver was a little bit older and received priority. The guide however was a rookie and his English wasn’t great, he did his best. We saw a leopard so mission accomplished. Receiving tea and cookies in the afternoon was perfect, although the space to chill was limited. We had a bbq but it takes time, you have to be patient. Around 8.30 we got our soup. Soup was great, bbq was ok and desert was nice. We got it included in our booking but I heard for others it was quite expensive. Not many mosquitoes during the night so very happy on that part!

United KingdomFeel it was overpriced but we did enjoy it.
The tent experience was cool. They had power and hot showers which was nice. Also private toilet in tent. Lots of activities/options for things to do. Safari was ok but individual experiences will differ.

SwedenDinners at the bon fire is atmospheric but the food is honestly crap.
The Safari guide was great - very knowledgeable about anything regarding the park and the animals. Together with an energetic driver we’ve got a fantastic all day in Yala. Staff is friendly and flexible. Tents are good given the context which is atmospheric. Great breakfast!

United KingdomThe tents do not seem to have been updated for quite some time. There were holes in the back of the tent which allowed in large bugs - this was also an issue with the uncovered shower plug hole. When we tried to turn on the hot water we got an electric shock so turned it off. This was not fixed throughout our stay. Yala Park has also become very overcrowded and we were disappointed to spend a lot of time in traffic jams every time there was an animal sighting. All in all, given the price we paid, we did not feel that the experience was good value for money.
We enjoyed the safari experience in that we were fortunate enough to see lots of animals. The staff were very attentive and the safari guides were great.

United KingdomThe advert said BBQ, which we thought was included, bur turns out it is not. We felt $20 was steep for dinner so we went for a curry at Smokey’s in Tissa, all you can eat buffet for 2,200 rupees
Great experience in nature, nice facilities, tent was spacious and comfortable. Came with a padlock for the tent, we took our valuables with us in our day bags. Free tea and biscuits was a nice touch

PolandIt was like school trip experience -too crowdy, unneccesary briefing, loud music at 5.00 before safari. During safari we were standing in the traffic jams since there were too many cars in one place.
