Greeted with a warm welcome and cup of tea, spacious room and bathroom with aircon, spotlessly clean. Good breakfast, varied and filling. Convenient location about 10-15min walk into the Dutch Fort. The team helpfully organised an airport transfer for me at the end of my stay, stored my luggage after I checked out while I explored the town, and even offered me a shower after I'd checked out before heading to the airport.

Staff gave us a very early check in and greeted us with tea. The member who greeted us was very helpful and had a strong standard of English. We had an early check out the next morning and a take away breakfast was arranged. Rooms were spacious and modern with excellent air con. The bar is comfortable with good prices with lots of pet cats in attendance who are adorable.

Very clean and lovely room with good shower. Breakfast is fabulous, very high standard continental breakfast with great cappuccino coffee. The lady host is very friendly and lovely ( Italian married and settled in Galle ❤️). Great location near to all shops and Galle Fort. Very value for money!❤️😍🙏

There was nothing not to like.

We completely loved this accomodation. Location was perfect, as we came by train and left by bus, it was walking distance everywhere. Whole property is super cool with nice touches that makes it very cozy. Room was extremely spacious with very comfortable huge bed. I liked balcony with nice seating area, which we did not have time to use :) . Whole style of hotels gives you nice colonial vibes, which is so typical for this town, so it just perfectly completed whole feeling from this Sri Lankan historical gem. Stuff was super nice always have nice words for us and helped us with all the questions we had.

The place was perfect. We liked that we were taken good care off and the stuff showed exceptional efforts to please us. The hotel was quiet, in a central area, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was super nice.

We had a wonderful time at this place. The hosts were incredibly kind and fun to talk to. Our room was exceptionally spacious and clean, unlike any place we staid in Sri Lanka. The bathroom was big and clean (there even was a bidet). The breakfast was european and was exceptional (we had eggs with tomato and avocado, bread with jam and butter, waffles with fruits, coffee/tea, and an amazing soursop juice). The historical part of Galle and the bus stop are a short walk (10 minutes) away. Definitely recommend!

Great stay for 3 nights at Brixia. Enzas coffee the best in 5 weeks of travelling 😋 Great location, many good bakeries nearby, & close to walk to the fort. Breakfasts at Brixia were sensational & delicious. Staff were friendly, always smiling & helpful. Very clean, we had a huge bathroom (Room 3), nicely decorated place, certainly a woman's touch shows. Thank you to all who made our stay comfortable we will definitely stay again when we return to Galle.

Brixia is a total score! Exceptional value, gorgeous Italian / Sri Lankan design, large room and bathroom with separate full shower, big comfortable bed, nice balcony, great breakfast with REAL Italian moka pot coffee or espresso. Owners and staff are friendly and wonderful to chat with about all things Galle, Sri Lanka or Italy. Great location a block outside the fort (way less noise and traffic!) and an easy walk to all the markets , sea or fort. Parking right in front if you have your own tuktuk or car. Book this place now!

The room was very spacious, with comfortable bed. It was lovely to have a balcony. While it’s a slightly out of the main Fort, it’s a short walk and easy access to the train & bus stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

I can only give the hosts full marks. I came back to the hotel after a long walk which was a big mistake (I had checked out, but left my luggage with them). I was suffering from heat stroke, and they looked after me. I couldn't move, pins and needles in my right arm, and couldn't move my legs at all. Hosts and staff looked after me, ice pack, legs massaged. I had to lie down, they helped, removed my socks, and kept replacing ice packs, and got a bucket of cold water to put my feet in, and suggested hot tea which I gracefully accepted. Thankfully the car they ordered to get me to the doctors, and I am sure hospital, was not necessary as over the next hour I slowly recovered enough to move on to my next destination, where I am now, intending to relax for 48 hours and not to be so silly again!

Had such a lovely stay at Brixia. The staff were amazing, especially Blackie - the 20+ year old cat who was definitely the boss! Every need was accommodated for, the bedroom was super comfy and the breakfast delicious. Would 100% recommend - thank you!
