Linen and towels need a refresh - they had lots of stains but were clean!

Lovely hotel run by very kind and accommodating staff. Tea and coffee provided in the lobby every morning. Location is very central and convenient to get around by foot/train.

Water drain in the shower room was not functioning well leaving water to overflow the shower area.

Faraz was accommodating and helpful! Location is about 15 min walk from Colombo Fort station. Room and toilet were clean.

The room was air conditioned, which was good for the heat but not great for my throat nor for room ventilation (the door and interior window were always closed). The lockers are drawers under the bottom bunk and they were a bit stiff, so getting things in and out could be annoying if someone else in the room was resting. Curtains for privacy would be a good addition.

1) There was no water dispenser at the lounge where guests could boil water. Guests had to go down one floor to fill up on drinking water. 2) In efforts to reduce the use of single use plastic, the hotel should install bath gel and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom 🚻 instead of using disposable plastic tubes which needs replenishing daily. 3) The hotel charges USD30.00 for a taxi pick-up from airport to hotel. We used Pick Me app which costs only LKR4,400.

Infront of the hotel there were a few drunken man bothered me

Staffs were really helpful and friendly I like them they are really hospitable. I like this hotel corridor beautiful place to hang out with other guys. I had little issue outside street of this hotel there a few drunken and weird guys came to me and act like weird, but I like the hotel, and place is nice organized around the fort area.

The private room is very expensive for what it is. The shower was being repaired, the lights were flickering, there were issues with controlling the AC, builders were right outside the window so I couldn't put the blinds up. Therefore, it was comfortable and did the job but £40 was a lot of money for this. I would recommend using the shared room.

Building, staff, facilities are very good. I think this place works very well as a very good hostel and would recommend!!

It seemed there is not enough storage space (lockers) for everyone in the room - if you come in late you might not be able to get one.

Hostel bedroom was great, nice and clean and towels were provided. Location’s very good, close to the train station with some restaurants nearby and a 15-20min walk to the sea. Showers were okay. Tea and coffee available and some basic kitchen area.

Bathroom showers need to be properly maintained. The doors and the rubber that helps keep the door closed look disgusting and they are breaking apart.

Very comfortable and clean, in a perfect location. The 8 bed dormitory was spacious and beds comfortable. The common area is very nice, with complimentary tea and coffee. Staff was professional and friendly.

The hotel is located just 1 km from Colombo fort railway station. Just walkable distance. So many tourist attractions are nearby the hotel. The staff is very helpful. Best budget hotel stay in decent ambience.

We found the staff a little bit pushy on using their driver for tours, despite multiple times stating that we have already pre booked tours. Driver from the airport also gave us a hard sell on why we should use him for our trip. Last thing we wanted after 20 hours of travelling.

Hotel itself was fine. Bed was firm but comfortable. Excellent location within C1. Was a perfect base to rest after exploring the city.

First mistake: I stayed in dorms. They told me the door should be always open (ok) yet another person in the same dorm got a key to our room. When I requested my key I was denied. Second: apparently there is a complimentary coffee. When the coffee ended one morning and I asked if there was more I received a shrug.

Great location and value for money. Very clean and very good WiFi. Working AC. Hot water in shower.
