I would like some more space in the bathroom to keep the stuff and I guess they should provide at least shampoo and body wash. I got it in kandy although it was shared dormitory.

It’s nice and clean and lobby has a tea or coffee 24/7. Wi fi is good.

Be careful when going out at night. There will be someone who will follow you and pretend to be a hotel staff and will insist on guiding you where to eat. Just be careful. Lots of scammers around the area.

The rooms themselves were not locked, though there were spacious lockers to store our belongings. Overall, there were still more positive than negatives!

Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location, near to a supermarket and several restaurants. Spacious lockers available to store our belongings. Power outlet available by every bed. Beds were fairly comfortable. There is a lift (elevator) if you have heavy luggage. There were many shared toilets and showers for all the guests. The showers had good water pressure. There is a small kitchen with a microwave and kettle. Near to Fort railway station and many bus routes (including intercity routes) available nearby. Nice ambience in the reception area.

Found the bed uncomfortable, bottom sheet wasn’t big enough and kept slipping in the night meaning we were sleeping on the bare mattress. We asked for extra pillows as there was one small flat pillow each but these were never delivered despite being told they would so tbh we both found the nights sleep uncomfortable. TV didn’t work in our room at all. The room was generally quite tired looking compared to many rooms we’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka for a cheaper price but maybe that’s just the cost of a night in Colombo!

Hotel is located just a 10 min walk to Colombo Fort Station which is the main reason we stayed as we were getting a 6am train, good aircon, fair sized private room, friendly staff and nice lobby area. Quiet location, no issues with noise.

Room had no daylight. There was a window with a screen, but it looked straight at the hallway. Had to ask for an extra (second) towel, but they provided it immediately.

Nothing revolutionary about this place. It's a strange hostel/hotel combo that's perfectly adequate. If you're looking for a social slant to your accommodation look elsewhere. If, however, you simply want a reasonably priced bed in an excellent location look no further than here.

The main drawback is the lack of hot water in the women's shower. Also no bed curtains = no privacy.
