Although the staff were generally helpful and polite, a few gave too much attention to my 7 year old daughter, which made us both uncomfortable.

Only complaint would be nowhere to put things when going to the shower.

Only a 5 minute walk to the bus or train station. Staff were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much hassle. Water was available to buy in bottles and there was free tea and coffee available. Lovely rooftop area to sit and chill in. Lockers under the bed fit my bag in.

Only thing I’d mention is I used two different showers in the females and they were pretty cold, didn’t get hotter. But my partner used the males and he had hot water so not sure if I was doing something wrong here 😂

This place really exceeded our expectations!! We checked in to super friendly staff, great location, it’s sooo clean and smells so good across the whole hotel/hostel. The dorms are clean, really comfortable beds with proper mattresses which was a blessing. Bathrooms clean and tidy, free tea/coffee/drinking water. Kitchen to store items in the fridge/freezer 👌🏼 w Honestly what more could you want from a couple nights stay in Colombo. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Oh and wifi was good!

Amazing staff who gave lots of recommendations and safety advice (which I hugely appreciated as a solo female who had just arrived in Sri Lanka). I felt really safe there. The location is super close to the train station which is ideal for early starts.

The hotel was very convenient for our family and suited our needs. The hotel could be a little noisy at times, doors slamming in the night, but again it wasn't that bad.

There is no restaurant at the property, but it is in a great location to the Old Dutch Hospital with lots of eating options around. We took a quick tuktuk to Kumbuk Cafe and Seed Cafe - which we can highly recommend. The staff were wonderful. We stayed at C1 at the beginning of our stay and end, and on our return the staff welcomed us like old friends! The hotel driver, Roshan, was really helpful too and took us on a great tour of Colombo.

The scammers on the street.

Fantastic, affordable hotel that genuinely feels like a 4 star. Staff are super helpful too and the location is great but be careful of the men on the streets pretending to be the manager of this hotel. They will try to mislead you to a temple and a fake one day exhibition and then take a lot of money from you. Do Not Entertain Them.

Nothing in the hotel, but as mentioned by other reviews there are scammers/tuk tuk drivers lurking around in front of the hotel. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it was kind of awkward and scary when a fight broke out between them at night when we were coming back from dinner, and it was difficult to enter the premises.

Super clean hotel and friendly staff who never failed to help. They let us leave our bags at the hotel before our checkin time and gave us recommendations on where we could go to hang out around town. Really close to the colombo railway station which was a definite plus for us, as we were travelling by train.

Basic facilities but ok for the price
