Don't do laundry in that hotel. 1. It takes so long. 2. I got my laundry back when it was still wet. 3. When they finally gave it back to me dry, it was all wrinkly in a plastic bag and not folded. There are not many restaurant options around the hotel.

The room and hotel in general are super nice and clean. Value for money is great here. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff were SO great, helped us with all we needed regarding travel and the best things to do/places to go in the city! The rooms were lovely and beds were really comfortable with your own plugs and light in each bed.

This place is great if you need the train station and it's got a nice clean, comfy lobby where you can read, work and hang out. The rooms were clean, AC'ed nicely and very comfy beds.

We only stayed for a short time as we were catching the train the following morning. Great location short walk to Colombo fort station. The rooms and facilities were clean. We had a shared bathroom which was always well kept.

Cons: - A bit quiet at night outside the hostel, so take some care if you will be walking outside (unless you have some vehicle) - Dorm rooms don't have keys, although the staff reassure that nothing will happen to your things. They do have cabinets with locks (but bring your own lock). This bothered me a bit, but I didn't lose anything and, as far as I know, neither did my roommates.

Pros: - Superb location, near many tourist sites and near Fort Colombo Railway Station - GOOD PRICE. - Comfortable and clean lobby, rooms, and bathrooms - Each bed is comfortable to sleep in, and has its own nightlight. - Air conditioning in the room and at the lobby is superb. - Wifi seems to work fine. - Staff are all accommodating and knowledgeable about where to go and what to do. - Because I went during one of the hottest seasons, I appreciated that they sold cold water.

Booked an airport transfer that did not turn up (did not pay for this and luckily I was not arriving alone or late at night) Shared bathroom not too clean and no hooks so hard to use. Our room only had a window to a shared walkway.

Big comfortable bed. Close to clock tower and Dutch hospital if you want to stay in that area (personally Cinnamon Gardens is a better area)

I arrived and checked the rooms, but I was very disappointed with the cleanliness. I didn’t even stay the night, yet I was still charged $18 for the first night. The manager explained that Booking.com would charge them regardless. I didn’t argue as I was extremely tired, but I don’t think this charge was fair.

The only positives were the location and Deniz at reception—he was incredibly helpful and shared lots of great tips and recommendations for places to visit.

This review is hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

The room was basic but large and the bed was comfortable . There was no hot water during our stay. Manager said hot water was on solar but cold showers were the only thing we got. The towels were thread bare with holes in them. I was surprised as the hotel received such a high rating. The location was ok. Staff were generally unhelpful.

A very nice hotel in the downtown. Rather quiet street and yet close to many places you would like to visit while in Colombo. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. We were able to leave our luggage after the chack-out while waiting for the flight. Excellent place!

We were made to wait 1 hr in the lobby even though we arrived at check-in time. They said our room would be ready in 10mins but it ended up being one hour and it was still not ready. We went out and came back in the evening, the same story was repeated again to wait 10 mins. Later they told us no rooms were available in the category we booked and that our room was undergoing some construction work. They offered us a room that was a downgrade and dark and dingy. In a minute the AC started leaking and I had to go request them to put us up in a decent room and then they gave us a room that was good. They had that room all along but didn't want to give it to us. I'm not sure if this was because we are Indians and we'll adjust or something. Everyone (Europeans & Americans) who came after us got their rooms but we were the only ones who didn't get the room on time. After spending so much money such kind of treatment felt really bad. This has not happened to me anywhere else so far. First time facing such racial issues. Would not recommend this place if you are a citizen of a neighbouring country in Sri Lanka.You won't be treated equally.

The BEST hostel I have ever stayed in so far in my life. Clean, new, modern, comfy - all of the best qualities you can find in a high end five star hotel - you get them all here. The staff was very friendly - they even invited me to join their tea time for a free coffee and tea. I like the hostel so much and ended up not spending too much time going out 😂😂
