Had a great stay at C U Hostel! Location is perfect, so close to the beach where you may enjoy swimming, reading a book as well as find different options for food. The breakfast at hostel is also nice. Rooms are spatious enough, garden is really beautiful, dogs are to fall in love with and staff is great - informative, willing to help (all of them, but I'm specially thankful to Jackie, who is such a good man, with pure heart). All in all, very nice atmosphere, recommend staying there. PS. If you have chance, make an excursion to other villages and beaches from C U - the staff will help you with information and organizing transport.

This is the second time I return to this place after a wonderful experience I had with everyone. Everyone here is amazing, starting with Dosi, the hostel owner, and his French assistant, Auryan, along with Jackie and the rest of the team. Dosi’s mother is an incredibly kind lady who allowed me to use her kitchen with a generous heart. I highly recommend everyone to book Cu hostel

Sooooo difficult to leave.

Booked for 2 nights, stayed 13. I think nearly everyone I was with extended their stay. Thusy and his hardworking but laid-back, creative team made my stay really memorable. Jacky's breakfasts were delicious and he really took care of me. The people who came and went were unforgettable. The place is gorgeous, 1 min from the beach, lovely garden - and Thusy's projects will make it better and better. I was there 'off-season' and loved it all the more. Good Luck with Everything - and next time I'll come for a yoga retreat!

Everything is perfect

Let’s start with Dosi, his mother, jacky and everyone who works at this place. In short, they are amazing. The place is comfortable and has a beautiful garden with lovely dogs, especially the dog Pulpo. At night, everyone sits in the garden to eat, talk and joke around. The village is like a little paradise with its trees, beach, and residents. I recommend everyone to visit here for an amazing and unique experience.

Perfect place to stay close to Trinquemalay. Great location, very close to the beach (2min walking), close to goods restaurants. It is easy to reach Trinquemalay and Nilaveli by bike, bicycle or tuktuk. Room was clean, quite big, fully equipped with proper lockers and electrical outlets for each bed. And there is a nice garden. The owner is really nice and helpful. I recommend !!

The guys there were just amazing, you instantly felt at home and comfortable. The hostel itself was clean and looked really nice and cozy. We had a warm welcome and had fun time as well as good conversation in the chill-corner right besides the house. The nights were really social there and we had some beer, music and a really nice time. The place invited to get to know each other and the owners. As they brought their friends it's also good to know some other locals.

The staff is amazing. They are very nice and are always there if you need anything. The location is great as you can get to the beach by walking +/- 1 minute. The beach entrance close to the hostel is nice as it is very clean and there are some beach bars. There are also many places to eat around the hostel, so I don’t think the location can get any better. If you want to visit the temples, you can easily get a tuk tuk, which the staff will help you call if needed. I recommend staying here because you can easily go and refresh at the beach after your day trips. The hostel has a nice bonfire, which is great to spend some time at night talking to other people. Extra: The dogs in the hostel are very cute!

This is the ultimate vibe place when you’re in Trinco (or in Sri Lanka in general). All the guys running this place are super nice, they organize events for their guests, parties, dinners, but also just hangouts etc. I felt super welcome at their hostel. If you’re looking for a place to chill out and meet other like-minded travelers, dont look any further! This is it. I will be looking forward to coming back one day. Thanks!!

I would recommend personal lockers for the doorms.

Brandnew nice hostel. Only stayed for one night unfortunatly. But it was a good experience. The breakfast was good and i liked the colourful paintings of the walls a lot.

I had an incredible stay here. Everyone try their best to make sure you have a great time, they adapt the evening programme to the wishes of the guests - we had a BBQ & a party with our own DJ, but also very cosy evenings in the chill area. Everything was very clean, each dorm had its own bathroom & they really put effort in the communal area. I really enjoyed the breakfast too! And the staff was so friendly and helpful - Thanks to everyone who works at CU-Hostel for this wonderful time.

This place is really amazing! It is decorated with detail and love and has a great chill vibe! I felt immediately comfortable and welcome because everyone was so kind and warm-hearted. The breakfast was delicious and everything was super clean! Eventhough I was only there for two nights I felt so at home! Definitely recommend to stay here and enjoy your time in trincomalee :)
