I really disappointed about the room that they have provided. When I saw the pictures that room is so big but when I entered the roo it was so small. Water leaking in the bathroom and not really clean as well.

Staff is the only thing that I like in the hotel. But they are so talkative so it little bit disturbing.

However, it seems that the management need to pay more attention to maintenance and overall cleanliness. I saw lots of used cups and glasses were laying on the floor near the rooms.

The staff was great and the location of the hotel is very convenient as there are so many restaurants and supermarkets around the place. The hotel itself also gives you the direct access to the beach.

The hotel is a little bit old, so it cannot be maintained like a brand new hotel. Through promotions we paid half of the usual price and for that it is really worth every single penny. However, you might get little disappointed if you have to pay the full price.

We got that hotel for a very good price and were really happy about the hotel although the reviews were mixed. Although the hotel is little bit old, they keep an eye on cleanliness and perfect service! Outstanding are the - staff service - most comfortable bed and pillows (like heaven!) Really good are - food - very clean (although the hotel is a little older) - pool During that time of the year, the beach in front of the hotel is not suitable for swimming. However, just a 5 minutes walk, there is a beach you can also swim during monsoon season. Definitely worth the money we spend!

The room AC was so bad it didn't even function properly. The temperature won't go down more than 26.5C even after 2 hours. (Check-in time was at 2 pm ) Hence, it was so uncomfortable to stay inside the hotel room. One staff member came inside the room to inspect but didn't care about solving the issue. Since the room is facing towards the beachside, an enormous amount of sea sand is coming inside the room via the balcony. The room didn't even have a RUG to curtail this mess. Overall, the property is very old and needs a big renovation. Hence, there is an increased chance of moisture building up in the air,(especially INSIDE THE ROOM ) which can lead to a foul-smelling.

The only good thing about the hotel was the beach-facing view.

Food was delicious. Thank you so much for the staff. They were so friendly and polite. Really love the beach there. We had breakfast there. There were so many options for the breakfast. A huge buffet. Delicious food and beautiful beach view. We never forget this place.

Dinner ordered from the à la carte menu for room service on the 2nd way was terrible. My wife ended up with lose motion. Food options are severely limited on the breakfast buffet.

The staff were exceptional. I booked in last minute as my daughter was travelling in Sri Lanka and had an accident and broke her leg and ankle. We checked in to the hotel as we tried to sort out insurance /an ambulance to the hospital to get the surgery done. The staff found us a wheelchair, and delivered food to her room. They found us a ground floor room and they were so kind to us.

Property is very old and needs a big renovation. Rooms are very old and not cleaned properly. Moulds and fungus are everywhere and in the shower too. Lift smells very bad. Not worth the price we paid at all.

Only the staff is nice who tried to make out stay is good but property is not suitable to cater travellers. Must close and renovate. Spa is nice.

Loved the view from the balcony and the scenery from the beach. The rooms were really clean and tidy and we loved spending quality time in the pool. We loved the entertainment at night.( the live show was perfect for the night stay) . For dinner we ate from the restaurant and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was amazing and we loved the two sides of Srilankan and English breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in the Citrus Hotel and we will definitely come back. Room numbers - 221 , 220 & 120.

They have a 3rd party service for ocean activities. they charge a big attentional cost from foreign people. instead of that the hotel facilities and the view is superb.
