Can be noisy as it's a wooden cabana, so you may need earplugs. Quite some mosquitos like everywhere but you do have a mosquito net, so the bed will be your safe place:)

Great Location, Close to restaurants and beach. Cabanas are well equipped, bit small but you can sit on the terrace. Kettle, cups, coffee, tea in your room. Everything very clean. Friendly staff. We could check in and check out slightly earlier/later. Big bonus: free drinking water refill, so a lot less plastic bottles! Also, they rent bicycles in good condition and it's fun to explore Trinco city with them.

We didn't have breakfast, but there was a real nice place just around the corner. There was a watercooker and fresh water and coffee and tea in the room. There is a super cool tree in the garden so in the morning you wake up and can great the monkeys and squirels and birds playing around in it.

Just in the second row behind the beach front, we had calm and restful nights in our lovely hut just 5 minutes from the vibrant beach. We can definitely recommend these Cabanas!

Ever so friendly hosts Dilruk & Nirosha, they sorted out a scooter for me, was given the most delicious meal on Dilruk's 45th birthday too!! Close to beach and food options, lovely place to stay!!

The lighting could be improved but that wasn’t really an issue for me

Very lovely stay, the host were so kind and helpful with everything, provided me with mosquitoe spray and you have unlimited drinking water. It’s a short walk from the beach and local restaurants The cabana is very simple but has everything you need, the bed is very comfy and has a mosquitoe net which comes very handy. Worth noting it’s a cold shower but I knew this before booking so that wasn’t a problem for me

it‘s a cabana so that means it’s a bit more open and not super sound proof, but that’s really nothing compared to all the virtues of the accomodation

No hot water but it wasn’t much of a problem.

Cute cabana, comfortable bed, good parking and not far from restaurants/beach. Very helpful owner, even came running out with an umbrella when we pulled up in the rain. As with anywhere on the coast you must be prepared for mosquitoes.

There is no hot water for the shower but that didn’t bother us, the water isn’t really cold just a bit fresh

We had a fab time here, loved staying in a cute cabana which had all of the facilities - en suite and air con!! The location is fab, 4 mins walk to the nicest beach in Trinco, right round the corner to some lovely restaurants and a couple of grocery stores a min walk away! The owner was very helpful and organised a tuk tuk to the bus stop for us at a low price. Couldn’t fault this place at all!!

Very accommodating. Good location with a 5 min walk to beach (snorkelling at top end of beach). The manager arranged a driver from Uppuveli to Kandy (4 hours) which was excellent value (SLR 22000).

I recently stayed at Cool Banyan Cabana, and it was a truly peaceful and relaxing experience. Unfortunately it's a bit noisy which led to overhearing much of my neighbours conversation's and being unable to sleep.

I loved having unlimited free filtered water and a little kettle in my cabin. It made my stay so much more comfortable here, being able te make a cup of tea before bed made a huge difference.

Not about the property but the walk to and from the restaurants wasn’t well lit. The area felt safe and it’s a short walk so it wasn’t a problem, I just used the torch on my phone for the darkest part.

It was really peaceful and the beds were so comfortable! I thought it would be too hot with just a fan but it was fine. I slept so well! It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The staff were really friendly! I would have stayed longer but they were fully booked which says a lot about how popular the place is!

Cold shower only. Crying dogs and vehicles made it hard to sleep. We were in the closest one to laneway. Lighting in room was very bad.

Lovely intimate establishment with just 4 cabanas. Grounds were immaculate and shaded with lovely banyan tree to admire. Cabanas were very rustic and fun. Bed was super comfortable and large and air-con worked well. Was clean enough and I would stay again.

Loved this place. Excellent location close to the beach and restaurants. Wifi is strong so I was able to work remotely without any problems. The family that own the place are welcoming, kind people. The beds are also very comfortable. I highly recommend!

Cosy group of four bungalows just a five minute walk to the beach. We had the AC bungalow and it was cool. Bed and pillows were the comfiest so far in Sri Lanka. Bathroom was super basic (as expected) but clean. Internet worked well (unusually for Sri Lanka!). The staff were lovely. Offered free water refills from a bottled filter - much appreciated. Value for money really great.
