We loved our stay here! From the super friendly and helpful staff, to the peaceful room and great brekky, it’s amazing value for money and the location is walkable to everything! Nothing was a problem for staff. Our aircon died on the second night and we were changed to another room easily. Breakfast was different every morning which was nice. The staff were really what made it and should be praised :)

I stayed at Costel Mirrisa twice and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The place is extremely clean and well-maintained, and the staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. What truly made my stay special was their hospitality — one morning they even brought me a homemade local breakfast from their own home, which was such a thoughtful gesture. They also gave me a handmade keychain as a gift, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy, clean stay with warm and genuine hosts!

Short walk to the beach and main street for shops and restaurants. The only thing I didn’t love were the little goldfish being kept in jam jars for decoration

So I cannot really evaluate this particular hostel because they made a mistake during my booking, so instead of a bed in a dormitory I got a whole room in a different hotel. It was actually the best room I’ve slept in Sri Lanka and I had like 10 different accommodations. BUT it was so nice in Cotels Mirissa inside, there was AC, I also had a breakfast there which was really nice. Staff was super helpful and friendly and it really managed this whole situation.

The staff were very nice. They prepared breakfast for me even though it was very late and almost lunchtime . It's just a ten mins walk away from the secret beach. The upper floor balcony was just perfect for a couple of beers and chill with your friends or fellow travellers..while listening to peacocks calling Highly recommended !!!

Good rooms for a very decent price. Anoj is very kind, smiling and helpful for any queries asked Complimentary Breakfast is different every day, which is very nice. WiFi was working absolutely fine Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean & towel was provided. Sound system & projector were provided in the 1st floor balcony which is very good for time pass. Totally worth it for the stay.

Nice hostel, centrally located. The staff is super friendly, sociable and helpful when issues emerge. The common lounge area on the 1st floor is great (open, but covered from the rain). Very easy to meet new people. The only downside is that you will hear music in the (private) rooms close to it, but it's a hostel after all. The deluxe rooms are very nice, but staying on the rooftop and having to walk on the roof with heavy thunderstorms is not pleasant (only 1 deluxe room there) so I changed rooms. Would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice place to meet people close to the beach.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel in Mirissa! The hosts were incredibly friendly and took great care of me. They can speak many languages, which made communication so much easier and more convenient. The free breakfast was delicious and worth it. The hostel provided all the essentials a backpacker might need, like soap, a hair comb, a dental kit, towel, and blanket, which was super convenient. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were so comfortable that I had the best sleep during my stay. The hostel has a huge social space, perfect for meeting other travelers. We played games at night, and it was a lot of fun! They have plenty of board games, and the terrace is a lovely spot to relax. The location is super convenient, close to major attractions, and you can easily walk to the beach as it's very nearby. They also offer a bike rental service, which made exploring the area much easier. The hosts gave me great tips for my visit, making it an all-around wonderful experience. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this hostel!"

Good hostel with nice private room which was very clean on arrival. The staff were very helpful. There was a big communal area upstairs which people sat at, especially when it rained! Location was great for the beaches and could easily walk to restaurants in Mirissa.

Such a nice hostel! The dorm beds were super comfortable and the A/C worked very well. Had a very nice social feel and the breakfast was delicious! Our stay at Costels was very nice. The host and the staff are super friendly. We were able to change rooms from downstairs to upstairs, because of the smell in the downstairs room. Afterwards everything was perfect. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. Also the common area is pretty nice. You can relax in a hammock or play games and read. The area is far enough from the main street to not here that much traffic. But its also close enough to the beach and restaurants. I would stay here again:).
