We enjoyed staying at this spot. It was clean and simple. The location was between two great yoga spots in Mirissa so great if you enjoy yoga. There is a walk uphill to get there but we didn't mind this - but if this could be an issue for you something to consider. It took us say 5 minutes to get to the beach and we actually liked being away from the busy road by the beach and amongst the trees with birds and monkeys often hanging around. They were not aggressive and cool to see. The breakfast was good with fruit and eggs and pancakes and changed slightly each day. Good value for money. Thank you!

Very clean, and great location 10 minutes walk from Marissa beach. We had a very good nights sleep here, and the air con worked well. Being on a hill in the jungle meant that the venue was very quiet and peaceful, away from the busy streets of Marissa. 2 mins walk from the property you could do yoga drop-in sessions at jungle view, or get a massage - at secret root spa - it was very relaxing! The hosts were also very lovely and helpful 😊

Very helpful and welcoming hosts. Big, spacious bedroom with a lovely outdoor terrace area to relax in. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast that was a little bit different each day. Very clean sheets and towels and a big comfortable bed. A quiet place to stay.

Everything! I even extended my stay another night. The location is amazing up a hill away from the main road and noise. Very safe, I was comfortable walking around the town as a solo traveler after dark. I personally like the walk but many others take a tuk tuk up the road. It feels like you are staying in the jungle with beautiful greenery and birds and monkeys! The bird feeder was one of the best parts! The beach is a 5 minute walk down and across from Parrot Rock. Breakfast daily! Soap and towel provided. The owner, Jayan, was beyond helpful in assisting me with all the activities I wanted to do! His mom is beautiful and was able to retrieve a lost item for me when I wasn’t at the hotel. Jayan graciously offered his time to take me to a tour of a tea factory and spice garden. When I wanted to visit Galle, he set me up with a reliable friend who has a tuk tuk transport business so I felt safe and wasn’t being ripped off. WiFi was fine with the exception of one day that had a weak connection. Not a big deal for vacation mode! Working AC and hot water.

Such a great stay in Marisa!! Location was great, 5 mins from the beach away from the busy street - essentially in the jungle. At the bottom of the road there is a fab spa/ great places to eat. Great breakfast provided by the host, he also was so so helpful in helping organising activities etc in Mirissa, which made the trip seamless. Such a great stay altogether, surrounded by wildlife, great location, super kind host 🙂

This place is a true hidden paradise, tucked away from the main dusty road of Mirissa. In just minutes, you can easily reach the beach, so the location is super convenient. Some people mention it’s a bit uphill and tricky to find, but we found it to be a peaceful retreat. Jayan and his family are absolutely lovely—they bring you breakfast, check in to see if you need anything, and are incredibly helpful. The room comes with a beautiful terrace that has a cool jungle vibe, making it feel like a calm, serene escape. I’d definitely recommend staying here! And for yoga lovers, it’s right next to Rushkan‘s Yoga Studio—one of the best yoga spots in Sri Lanka.

Nice location, a bit further (and uphill!) from the beach/center, but easily reachable. Nice spacious room, great bathroom. Very nice host. The eating area (breakfast) could definitely use a fan, as it is already so hot and humid early morning.

Very charming with all the nature around. The host was very friendly and catered to my gluten free needs for breakfast. Not far to walk to the beach. It is up a hill but very manageable to walk and felt safe at night. There are 2 yoga shalas on either side of the guest house. Monkeys and squirrels playing in the trees just outside.

The curtain is thin so you can actually see in from outside when it’s dark.

Rooms are clean and spacious. A few minute walk to Mirissa beach and main street, although there is plenty of services on the way there, too. Jayan the manager is super helpful with everything so just ask him if you need anything. One of the best Guest Houses we stayed in Sri Lanka during our month in here.

There's not a designated common area to hangout if you're stuck up their cause of the rain. It'll be good to have the option to get drinks or snacks available. Also a mirror in the room would be helpful.

Cute room on the guest house. It was clean and had storage for clothes. The guest house is surrounded by greenery. It is a bit of a walk up the hill so be mindful of that. There's a laundry service close to the guesthouse which is convenient. Host Jaayan was great. He communicated thoroughly and was helpful whenever we needed a ride to town in the rain or asked any questions. Breakfast is provided as well.

The house is on a little hill on a very quiet street. Jayan currently has two rooms, so there are not a lot of other guests around. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and you have a table, wardrobe etc.. even though you‘re not at the beach, you can see the sea and hear it also! Jayan decorated the house beautifully. Looking at the property alone I would definitely recommend this place, however, given that Jayan is your host you MUST go there. Jayan has such a good soul! When we were involved in a scooter crash he spent the whole day with us at the hospital/ police. Translating and giving us advice and driving us everywhere with his tuktuk… I don’t know what we would have done without him on our side.

Great location . Not in the heart of Mirissa but near enough (10 min walk max) to experience the hustle bustle. The guesthouse is set on a hill with the views being fantastic. Woken up to jungle sounds and nature is a treat being a city dweller, simply amazing . I was to stay for 3 nights…I stayed for 14 lol. Top marks go to Jiyan who built the guesthouse himself and now should reap the rewards. Definitely returning !
