An amazing view and the beautiful garden with special fruits and flowers, and the friendly host. And it’s so nice to stay in nature, while it’s only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Ella (you can take the shortcut if you follow the railway! It’s a funny and nice walk). If you drive the tuktuk yourself, maybe its better to park it 200m before the accommodation, because it’s a challenging climb up and down by tuktuk.

We really enjoyed our stay here, as it's a silent place in the nature but still close to Ella city center. Great view from the room and terrace. Very close to the railway, where you can watch the train or walk to Ella rock or the city center in a view minutes. The breakfast was really good and the familiy is really friendly.

Such a good and quiet place. The train passes right in front of the house, and apart from that you don't hear the loud music from town, just the sound of the jungle. You can almost see the sunrise from your bed and you have a good view on the waterfall. If you walk along the train tracks it's less than 10mins walking to town, and it's right on the way to climbing ella rock. Breakfast was affordable and alright. Room was very clean and spaceous & comfortable. Would definitely come back here!

Towels could have been cleaner. Talking in English personally to the staff was a bit difficult. Shower flooded the bathroom.

Beautiful location within the mountains and perfect view on Ella Rock and Little Adam's Peak! Close to town, could just follow the tracks (10 Min. Walk). Mosquito Net around the bed. Staff was helpful with any problem and always answered fast via booking/was always available. They gave us plasters for leeches bites and came late in the evening to help catch a frog in the bathroom.

Location is good, but you have to walk in the train tracks and at night there wasn’t light, but was ok with cell lights. The room was comfortable, the view was very nice and you can see the train coming.

The hosts hospitality. They are absolutely incredible. The location is peaceful by the train track which passes there occasionally. It's such a great vibe. From there, it's possible to walk to Ella's Rock and Nine Arches Bridge. That was one of the most incredible walks I've done. The breakfast is delicious and the room is comfortable. I really enjoyed this place. Important to mention that the day I got there I was sick - flu. I asked for a meal so I could just rest. It is so quiet there, I slept well, ate a good meal and the next day was feeling so much better.

No kettle in room, but host did fill my flask with hot water. Shower had no pressure. My verandah was right at the entrance of the house so household walked right past me. Old man always hovering. Made me uncomfortable to sit outside. Maybe more my problem but I like my privacy.

Novelty of watching trains go by so close. Lovely view of Ella rock & Ravanna waterfall. Only 5 mins walk to town along rail lines. Lovely clean room with places to put things.

First time can be a bit hard to find; yes, you can walk over the rails to reach your destination ;)

Location next to the train rails is amazing and something we really enjoyed! The breakfast was really good too, and especially with that view. To be honest, this is probably the best value for money you will get in Sri Lanka.

A charming, modest and peaceful place to stay, away from (but within easy walking distance of) busy Ella town. The view over the green hills and valleys is awe-inspiring, and the house also backs onto the railway tracks of the famous Kandy to Ella line. We enjoyed waving to passengers as they went past. Rooms were clean and comfortable with mosquito nets, and the home-cooked dinner was much better than any of the food we had at local restaurants. Breakfast included tropical fruits and even coffee grown in the garden. Excellent value for money.

Location is perfect, a bit outside of the busy main street, but in walking distance (over the train tracks). It is therefore also a great location if you want to catch the train in the morning. The room was big enough, the bed was comfortable. You have a nice view from your terrace. We also had dinner once at the accommodation, it was very good. Breakfast was also nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights, but would have gladly stayed longer!
