The beauty of location and kindness of the hosts

We visited in the rainy season, and there were quite some flies and mosquitoes. The mosquito net over the bed made sleeping most comfortable, but when sitting outside on the terrace it got a little intense at times.

We felt so much at home here that we extended our stay. The hosts are very caring and respectful. The breakfast is so good, and rich! The view is gorgeous (especially sunrise). Warmly recommended!

We stayed on 5th and 6th August 2023. Location and view was superb. Food was delicious. Owner's are very friendly. Specially the lady Duleeka was very supportive and caring towards customers. Definitely value for money. Recommended for anyone for a good stay at Ella.

Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. The view is great and it is a good starting point for hikes. The family was amazing, our host showed us a shortcut to Ella Rock and our hostess even went down into the city with me and showed me a restaurant (when I came back again for the second time alone without my boyfriend) and helped me with my planning. Everything was perfect, thank you!

The furniture is abit dated but to their credit they take pride in keeping the rooms very clean.

The customer service was exceptional at this hotel, the staff are friendly and provided good information on where I should visit in and around the city. It took me around 15 minutes walk to get to Ella town from this hotel, however they can assist in helping you get a Tuktuk to town, the ride cost around 700 Sri Lankan Rupees and its a 5 minutes ride to town. They provided a lovely sri lankan breakfast each morning , which consist of delicious fruits and also tea or coffee. The view from the hotel of the mountains is amazing don't forget to bring your camera!

Was a little far out of the town but had beautiful location. The road was a little noisy early hours even though it's a very small track road.

We had a great stay in Ella and only wish we could have stayed longer. The owner was very kind and provided a great breakfast. The accommodation had a great view and was a good sleep. It is in a good location, and we would definitely stay again.

At first you should imagine that Ella is a mountain town. So there is no plain area. There are two main streets in the town center and most of the restaurants and shops , all the life is located there. And most of the hotels and guesthouses are located on the hills where you have a beautiful view. But there is the cost of this view not only the price of place, but also steep walking up and down , and high tuktuk prices too. Anyway by following the comments on infinity view I booked it. But unfortunately they were not talking about this fact. Only about breakfast and host. Breakfast is not something very unusual than the other places in Sri Lanka. Egg, pancake , fruits, and one sri lankan dish. We didn’t have fresh juice for example. There is a nice view , it is true. But the place is located on a bad road that taxis and tuktuks they don’t want to go there , or they ask double price. In Ella there is a big tuktuk mafia. so you have to accept their prices. Pick me works very late. Anyway the location has this disadvantage and they don’t make any dinner if you come late. So you have to go back to town. And it is not in walking distance. Maybe you can arrive in 30 mins. So when we arrived the town from train , it was about 18.30. When I wanted to take a taxi , they didn’t want to go there even though it shows a 3-4 kms because of the road. Anyway I got a taxi for 2000 lkr and when I got there there was no option for dinner and had to go back to town again for 2000 lkr and come back to hotel for 800 lkr with a tuktuk. We had dinner in 2 for 6000 lkr..these are the facts.

There is a beautiful view, simple room, breakfast is good too. But Nothing to be so surprisingly Wooow..I don’t understand these travelers’s comments about the owners. Of course in tourism the service is vey important..but it is not a favour. It must be like this. So when you comment about something, you should tell the real facts about the place.

I gave 7 because comparing to other accommodations at this price nearby this place is kind of very simple.

We enjoyed the views from our balcony it was incredibly beautiful. Breakfast was extraordinary - very big portions of food, fruits, coffee, tea, eggs, pancakes! Everything was delicious! Also the host of this place is a very nice and friendly. The rooms were very simple, no AC, just a fan, but for cool climate it is okey. You can have a warm shower there also. Location is a little bit far from the Ella centre, but you can walk on railway and get there in about 15 min.

We stayed in room no. 3. The property could do with some maintenance. The bathroom door lock was broken and could not be unlocked from inside. The washbasin tap was leaking. The shower head kept falling. In the middle of a shower, the water stopped completely, and we learnt that a water pipe on the property got disconnected.

The view from our room was good. The Sri Lankan breakfast was varied, tasty and substantial. The room was spacious and on the ground floor.

We didn’t have sheets to cover ourselves only blankets which isn’t hygienic.Difficult to get to property- as it was not mentioned in the publicity. A warning about being isolated should be explained. Wet weather brings out the worst in insects- especially leeches!

The place has good potential - big rooms, terrace with the view, nice food, but it all requires a general cleaning!! It's not possible to enjoy stay if something as basic as cleaness is not cared for. The furniture is old but still comfy and it didn't bother us for this price.

Hosts were very nice and we had very good breakfast with various meals includeded.
