We loved our family room. There was plenty of space for our two boys in the annex above and the room at the back and we enjoyed the master bedroom with the gorgeous views. The balcony was the perfect place to relax and enjoy views of Ella Rock and Little Adams peak in the sunny mornings and even in the rainy afternoons. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the walk into town along the train tracks.

There were a few downsides to our stay. The soundproofing was quite poor, so we could hear noise from other rooms and the hallway. The bathroom could use some minor improvements, and we had a few issues with the toilet during our stay. Also, the road leading to the property wasn’t very easy to access

We had a great stay! The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of options. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and we really appreciated that they allowed us to do an early check-out without any issues. On top of that, the view was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend!

WiFi was poor and difficult to connect to but it did not matter as we connected to nature instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The views were incredible and a five minute stroll away from the main street, so no bar noise. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, assisting us with our plans and the Sri Lankan breakfast was just the best. We will definitely be booking here again. The best place we have stayed in - really captured the Hill Country. Thank you all so much.

Beautiful setting, amazing views. Breakfast was great varied we particularly enjoyed the Sri Lankan option and the lovely fruits. The staff Danu, Varathy and all very helpful, extremely attentive making sure we enjoyed our stay. I will strongly recommend as a base when visiting Ella and nearby attractions.

A bit dated here and there and mould in the bathroom because it gets quite wet. Stayed in the triple room but only 1 electricity outlet which is not sufficient for 3 people.

Staff is lovely and very welcoming. View from the room is nice and the breakfast is a LOT of food. Easy to walk to town. The way back a bit harder because of the steep incline. Cheap tuktuk ride fixes this though.

Very peaceful, a 500m walk from the main strip, with gorgeous views across to Ella Rock. I could have stayed on my balcony for the whole stay! Very comfortable. Amazing Sri Lankan breakfast.

Unfortunately due to the microclimate (and I assume the fact we were there in huge storms) the room was a little damp and we could feel it on the pillow cases and sheets. Something could probably be done to help ventilation.

I feel a little sad we didn’t get to soak up the views as much as we’d have liked as the weather was so torrential on our days in Ella, however we did get an hour or so where the rain cleared, to enjoy the view. Even in the rain there was something very lovely about that cosy room & the rain hitting the roof. Breakfast was so delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Wonderful authentic hotel great breakfast,, great location, lovely walk on train line to get to town! Staff couldn’t do enough for us. They organized tuk tuk and a guide for us to get to Ella Rock to watch the sunrise, so worth doing.

Fantastic room, very clean, very well maintained. The view is amazing. The staff are lovely. We also had some delicious breakfast. It’s one of the best room I’ve stayed in so far, really good value for the price. The city and all restaurants are just a 5 minute walk

The property was great - we would have liked more information on the hikes, we asked how to reach Ella rock but they didn’t seem clear and we got very lost. A map , even hand drawn with useful landmarks would have helped.

The view was incredible - shame about the property to the left which cuts out some aspects. We were well looked after with the best breakfast and arranged tuktuks
