Be aware that the road access from Ella town is up a very very steep lane, most cars will not drive up, too narrow, about a 15 min walk up, our hosts assisted wth luggage transfer from/to our tour car via tuktuk and can assist with tuktuk rides up and down, we septugenarians managed the walk 4 times during our stay, good excercise and can eat more while in Ella!

Beautiful room wth a stunning view from your outside table and chairs across the hills and valleys of Ella to the Lttle Ella falls. Large clean bathroom with walk-in shower and great water pressure (hot and cold). Generous breakfast served on your outside table, tea, coffee and juice available all day on request. Large comfortable bed. Highly recommended

I had an amazing stay at Eminence! The view is amazing from the terrace, just a piece of heaven. The team does everything to make you feel good and comfortable. It's close to the nice bars and restaurants (it's on a hill, so a little climb). Breakfast is included at any time! Thank you for this nice experience :)

What a fantastic location for exploring Ella! It’s a short walk (up hill) from the train station, in a quiet part of town and with fantastic views of the valley, train line and a waterfall. Aku made us feel extremely welcome and recommended some great Sri Lankan restaurants, all within a 3 minute walk from the accommodation. Our breakfast each morning was perfect and kept us fuelled for the day.

Outstanding hospitality by the staff: they washed our laundry, put our wet clothes from a rainy hike in the dryer, brought us juice and coffee, provided breakfast, all free of charge. They also helped with taxis and airport transfers. The views from the rooms and outdoor terrace are beautiful, with sights of the train tracks and the waterfall. Fantastic stay when in Ella

Stunning property, in the perfect location in Ella. It’s only a 5 min walk to the centre, but you are located in an amazing, tranquil jungle. It’s perfect. Comfy beds, lovely balcony and great value. Aku and his team were so helpful, made us a lovely breakfast everyday and helped us with making the most of Ella. Thank you!

Needed a 3 wheel to get to property which was unexpected for our driver, but it was well worth it.

Staff were great, so friendly and helpful. The Sri Lankan breakfast was awesome. So many tasty dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the lovely views in the morning over a nice cup of tea.

One of the most stunning views I've ever experienced, we sat outside for hours under the covered terrace playing cards and enjoying all the wildlife, looking at the waterfall and watching when the train went by. Aku and his team at Eminence are all so friendly. Always available to help with suggestions and nothing feels like too much trouble. They made my family including two teenagers feel so welcome and made me feel so special on my birthday! The rooms are clean and good value for money but it is the spectacular view and Aku and his team who made this such a special stay.

Clean and comfortable room with amazing views of the mountain side and waterfall. Aku and his team couldn’t do enough for you, even offering free laundry which was a lovely touch. The breakfast smoothie bowl was amazing. Short steep walk up from town but tuk tuks and taxis will drive up so we didn’t find it an issue.

It is on top of a steep hill so difficult to reach on wet days, however it is more than worth it for the view!

The property is ideally locating in Ella, easily walkable to lots of restaurants, with a gorgeous view and amazing staff. Samir and his colleagues could not have been kinder or more helpful during our stay. It is at the top if a steep hill and we could not get our tuktuk up during the rain when we arrived and they immediately came to help with our luggage and take care of us. They made us an excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and brought tea, coffee or water whenever requested. They also offered to do our laundry at no cost and had it ready overnight.

We can't recommend this place enough! It's an amazing B&B with a lovely view on Ravanna Falls. Aku and his staff did their utmost to make our stay enjoyable and were so helpful and lovely, we really wished we could have stayed longer. Every morning they served a delicious (and massive!) breakfast, with the option to ask for a Sri Lankan one as well. Amenities were basic, but the staff was so warm and kind and the views on the waterfall and the train were so incredible that it didn't bother us at all. I can't stress enough how amazing the staff was. The place is a gem and near the fantastic Matey Hut local restaurant. One note: the hotel is up a steep hill not easily accessible by car. Aku can arrange a Tuktuk for you. If you are walking from the train station, you have to go up the steep hill and should look for the wooden Eminence sign and what will look like a parking spot, go down the steps and you will find it.
