The water pressure in the shower is not the greatest but this is understandable given that we are high up in the mountains.

A very accommodating host. We were considerably delayed due to the weather and road conditions but the host was very accommodating and waited for us to arrive before bringing us up to the hotel in their own tuk tuk (as the location of the hotel makes it a bit challenging to drive up by car) They even arranged for dinner for us upon our arrival. Breakfast was good, wide variety of fruits and local dishes. The view is outstanding and is the reason we booked this hotel. Did not disappoint.

We've had an amazing stay here. The place looks amazing and has an amazing view of Ella. The host Imantha really makes you feel at home and helped us with everything. He really went above and beyond with his hospitality. If we ever come back to Ella this would be our place to stay again.

WOW!!! By far the most amazing stay of our trip, from the moment we arrived we were treated with love and genuine kindness. Imantha and his beautiful family went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay in Ella, and their recommendations were spot on. We booked half board and the food was delicious and we tried something new every day, whilst enjoying the stunning view from our balcony. Guest inn avendra was absolutely perfect. Located up in the hills with gorgeous views and ran by the loveliest family! Imantha was the most attentive host, ensuring all our needs were met and organising tuk tuks from either himself, his dad or a friend whenever we needed one and he gave us lots of suggestions for the area. The family room we had was immaculate, the beds super comfy, and the view from the beds out over the hills is absolutely stunning to wake up to. The breakfast was delicious and more than we could ever possibly eat!! We also opted to have dinner with them one night and his mum's cooking was great and authentic. Thank you for the best stay ☺️

Wish we'd stayed longer.

Our stay at this homestay in Ella was excellent. Our host Imantha and his family went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with a small and genuine kindness. The room was spotlessly clean and offered breathtaking views of the beautiful green hills. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast, easily one of the best we had in Sri Lanka! The hosts were incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations for exploring Ella and even arranging to drive us around for one of the days in a tuk tuk at a very reasonable price. It's in a great spot just outside town, surrounded by nature. If you're looking for a place in Ella that feels like home, with the most wonderful and caring hosts, look no further.

Awesome place close to nature and wildlife with gorgeous view. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom and well designed space. Very helpful, professional and flexible hosts. We've eaten there best breakfast and dinner with local cuisne probably throughout our whole Sri Lankan stay. Strongly recommend!

Exceptional Hospitality and Stunning Views! My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Guest Inn Avendra in Ella for three nights, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our double room with en-suite bathroom was comfortable and clean, but it was the incredible hospitality of our host, Imantha, that made our stay truly special. Imantha went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. He willingly taxi'd us around in his TukTuk, even offering to bring us back from Ella after an evening meal out. His knowledge of the area was invaluable, and he helped us plan our days to make the most of our time in Ella. The breakfasts were delicious and authentic, with a different local dish each morning. We also enjoyed a fantastic Sri Lankan meal one evening, which was cooked to perfection. The location of the Guest Inn Avendra is quiet and picturesque, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Perhaps the center of town was a little far to walk, however, we had our own tuk tuk and it was and it was only 10 minutes away. Imantha, was always more then happy to take you wherever you needed to go so this really should not be a problem.

Guest Inn Avendra is perfect place to spend 4 days in Ella. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. What made it extra special was the warm, kind and helpfulness of our host Imantha and his wonderful family. The included breakfast was huge with a wide variety of local fruits and other SriLanken specialties. The dinners on the balcony was very special, delicous, all freshly made by Imanthas mother. Our host would go far and beyond to take you wherever you needed to go. One morning we had a hiked planned on the pekoe trail and Imanttha took us 35 mins to the trialhead in our own tuktuk to drop us off and then was going to pick us up 1hr away where we ended our hike. We where always comfortable and always felt welcomed in their place. The apartment was big, comfortable and with excellent views.. I highly recommend this stay anytime you plan to visit Ella.

We stayed at this perfect accommodation in Ella for two nights and I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Ella! The accommodation is very clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The view from the balcony is spectacular! Breakfast is brought up to your balcony - the food is excellent and there is more than plenty. You can also order an evening meal and drinks too. I have dietary requirements and must have a gluten free meal and this was no problem for the hotel. The hotel is a small family run business and the staff are all amazing! They really can't do enough for you. They have a tuk tuk and can take you to the town of Ella and pick you back up. Thank you to Imantha and family at Avendra hotel for everything!!

The hosts were amazing, so accommodating and friendly, the breakfast was a highlight for us and the best we had in Sri Lanka. We stayed in the newly built apartment, which exceeded the already high expectations of Guest Inn Avendra that we had. Imantha and his family always put the guests first and make sure you have the best stay possible in Ella. We stayed in the deluxe quadruple room which had a large balcony with exceptional views. Our meals were brought to the balcony and the food was excellent. Imantha, the son and designer of our room, was extremely helpful and together with his parents made us feel very welcome. Whilst there, I had an accidental fall into a ditch on a nearby road, losing my prescription glasses, and I would like to thank Imantha's father for the time he spent in the undergrowth trying to find them. We will never forget our stay here!

I had a great stay at Guest Inn Avendra in Ella. The views are amazing – you can see the beautiful hills and lush greenery all around. The host family were so friendly and made me and my mum feel right at home. They cooked some of the best meals for breakfast and dinner, using fresh local ingredients. We are both vegan and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. The rooms were really clean, and the beds were super comfy, so we both had a great night's sleep. Definitely recommend this place if you're in Ella!

Fantastic location in the hills. Our accommodation was great and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka and we ate on our balcony overlooking the valley. The host for a small charge even took us in and picked us up from Ella town in the evening which was about a 10 minute ride.

We loved it here! The family who runs it is exceptional, they made sure we had a wonderful stay. My mom has some mobility issues and they helped us see the most of Ella. Sitting on our patio and looking out at the beautiful view was just what we needed. The food was amazing, I show pictures of the fruit plate to everyone. Wish we could have stayed longer!
