We stayed for three nights on our honeymoon and could not recommend it more! Imantha and his family were so kind and accommodating and helped us with trips and recommendations - they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. We felt safe and so welcomed! Exceeded all expectations and beyond!! We had an amazing time at Guest Inn Avendra, Imantha and his family were so kind and so welcoming. Inserted into the wild, you can be in touch with nature, watch the sunrise behind the mountains and the thunderstorm by night in the swing bed. Also the breakfast was incredible, such a variety of fruit and local cuisine. We absolutely loved it and will come back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Guest Inn Avendra. Imantha went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us daily whilst we stayed by providing transport, recommendations, useful advice, and more. The property was beautiful, with a scenic view and comfortable bed in a spacious room. The breakfast was delicious with a very wide variety of fruit which we loved. Imantha and his family were the most hospitable hosts we've encountered during our whole trip.

Amazing views of tea plantations and the jungle located peacefully above Ella. Only a short tuktuk ride if you want to eat out. The host goes above and beyond to accommodate for all our wishes.

Beautifull location, clean, comfortable, good bed, and a balcony with a amazing view where you can relax. Next to that, what makes it a '10+' is that Imantha is an amazing host! He is making sure that you have an unforgetable time and he can bring you anywhere and arrange activities against a fair price, on top of that the breakfast is amazing! We loved this beautiful family run business, they did absolutely everything for us and made us feel so welcome and special. The meals they made us were on another level.. sooo generous, delicious, healthy and thoughtful. They made us feel so special on our honeymoon by going out of their way with romantic gestures. Our room was so relaxing and the view was spectacular. So lovely to sit and read on the balcony and just chill out. Don’t book anywhere else in Ella or you will regret!!!

Imantha and his family were the best hosts we had in Sri Lanka. Everyone was so kind and nice and they would have helped us with everything. They even gave us the perfect route to Ella Rock on maps.me so that we wouldn’t get lost. The new apartment is really beautiful with an awesome view from the balcony or from the bed. The breakfast and dinner were incredible and they also can drive you anywhere with the tuktuk. We had some great days at this place, thanks to Imantha and his whole family 🙏🏻

We had our most amazing stay in Sri Lanka at Guest Inn Avendra! The family was just sooo friendly from the first minute! Our host gave us lots of tips for excursions and often accompanied us himself at really super fair prices. The accommodation is very modern, the rooms were totally clean and we had our own terrace with a breathtaking view of the valley! For breakfast there were different local specialties freshly prepared by the family every day. The food was delicious and there was always lots of fresh fruit! Lunch and dinner could be booked flexibly from day to day. This was also totally delicious, always freshly prepared and totally fair in terms of price.

This was by far the best accommodation we stayed at our 3 weeks round trip in Sri lanka. Great location with an amazing view of the mountain valley. Incredibly friendly hosts. They exceeded our expectations made our time with them unforgettable. Imantha took us to see some beautiful places in the area. Breakfast was a highlight. A great variety of traditional sri lankan foods. We extended our 1 night reservation for 2 more extra nights and the foods were different each day. Bed was so comfortable. We also walked into the town in 30 minutes along the rail roads with seeing some beautiful landscape views. The wifi was super fast.

Nothing we were so happy with everything!

We loved everything about the Guest inn Avendra. The view from our room was beautiful. The family that own it are so warm and lovely. They made us feel really welcome. They were very helpful and insightful in making sure our time in Ella was as enjoyable as possible. We had breakfast included in our booking and it was the highlight of our mornings. Food was amazing! We really did not want to leave the Guest inn Avendra!

It's not close to the city center, but the views are worth it

One of the most beautiful places to stay in Sri Lanka. Amazing views, delicious breakfast. Imantha is a very helpful host who went above and beyond to make us feel us welcomed and comfortable. Great starting point for the Ella Rock trip. The host also helped with tuk tuk rides. This place is highly recommended for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Amazing location with the most stunning views. The new accommodation is over two floors with the living at the top. The windows allow you to see the sun come up in the morning from your bed. Imamtha is the most attentive host, always willing to help and improve your journey. His recommendations were great and he helped us get around on a daily basis. The breakfast and dinner (cooked by his mum) were fantastic. Being able to enjoy the panoramic view again for breakfast every morning was a real treat. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Ella for a few days; you won't be disappointed.

We have stayed here for one night in September 2024 and had the most warm welcome. Loved everything, especially the view with the fireflies and the breakfast. Imantha waited for us down the street so he could drive our tuktuk to the guesthouse (the last part of the road is steep). He gave us some really good sightseeing advice as well. Hope that we’ll be back some day in Sri Lanka to visit Guest Inn Avendra again. Would highly recommend! Kind regards from The Netherlands

Wish we could stay longer :(

Comfortable, quiet and clean room. We stayed 2 nights in this amazing paradise with watching overlooking mountains from our private balcony. It is just 10 minutes by tuk tuk from the center. We had a swing bed in our terrace where we can also see a beautiful sunrise in the morning (A great tip from Imantha 😉). The host Imantha was the best person we ever met during our whole vacation in Sri lanka. He was great, attentive, polite and speaks perfect english. The homemade breakfast was brilliant and large. We had a chance to taste some fruits we never had before. Highly recommended for anyone who looking for a authentic, peaceful stay in ella. We will be back!

Where to start ... our three night stay at Imantha's place felt like home. - Communication beforehand & during our stay was really good & fast. Imantha always made sure everthing was in place, e.g. helped us to arrange scooters, pick us up at the train station, etc. - Location was ideal - the best place to relax from the busier city centre of Ella offering the best views on the city itself to enjoy with a cup of Sri Lanka tea - Breakfast is delicious (and more than enough, so we could bring the leftovers as a lunch with us on our trips) with a lot of fruits from their own garden - Villa is comfortable, spacious and verrryyy good bed! Thank you so so much for these wonderful three days. Your hospitaly is so genuine. We wish you all the best for the future and maybe we meet again.

Nothing - We absolutely recommend everyone to spend here some days.

- Wonderful location in the middle of the Dschungel (ca. 10 minutes by Tuk Tuk from Ella city). We really enjoyed the location as it was very quiet, peaceful and the way with the Tuk Tuk was always fun and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Imantha (the older son) was always available to bring us somewhere / pick-us up with his Tuk Tuk. - The hosts (family business) are very, very kind people and we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, the culture and politics from them. - The breakfast and especially the fruit platter was amazing and very diverse. Also the dinner was absolutely delicious. One evening we were craving for some typical “German dinner” (toast, avocado, eggs) and the family did not hesitate a second to fulfil us this wish. - They have built another beautiful family room, which Imantha has shown to us. If you get the chance, I would recommend booking this room as it is stunning and very special. But also the other rooms are great, have a nice view and a great balcony each. - We stayed three nights and thought that was the perfect time to discover Ella and the area around. We spent one entire day with Imantha and covered the following sights: Little Adam’s Peak, 9 arches bridge and a beautiful monastery located on a mountain and including a mediation with a monk.

Nothing! Wish we stayed longer!

We enjoyed absolutely everything about our stay in Guest Inn Avendra but the highlight was definitely the host Imantha who goes above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable stay. He gave us great advice and was always available to take us where we wanted to go in his tuk tuk. Our visit with him to the temple is especially memorable. The property was gorgeous and the views breathtaking. I highly recommend a stay here!
