Beautiful location , excellent and friendly hosting by Imantha and family. Unforgettable experience. Imantha was very helpful and took us to go for Ella attractions we wanted to see. The food was very good and they keep feeding you so much that you get tired. would love to come back here for a longer trip some other time.

Everything was great! The room was clean, we had our own patio with an amazing view. The breakfast was generous and really good! And most of all Imantha was a great host, he made the most of our stay by showing us the best parts of Ella. So lovely, thank you again ! 😍

Well, we should have stayed longer - but that is our own mess-up😆

If I could rate it 11 I would. Imantha and his family are the nicest hosts you can imagine and certainly No.1 on our scale of homestays we have been. Don't bother booking a tour in Ella, just let them know and they will give you the most personal tour there is with their own TukTuk. Since Imantha has all the connections it needs, you will always be at the right time at the right place...and they are driving an "Audi"- TukTuk.👍, it will bring you anywhere😄 The location of room 2 has an unbelievable view and it has been created with lots of love - perfect for honeymoons in the middle of nature. If you are lucky you will also have guests for breakfast 🙊, too. Please also consider in your planning, breakfast AND dinner is served, plenty. Anything else, they will make it happen for you...and make you feel at home umongst friends.

Guest Inn Avendra exceeded our expectations in every way. The genuine and heartfelt hospitality shown by Imantha and his family made us feel as though we were part of the family, creating an unforgettable experience. This cosy haven offers breathtaking jungle views, a warm atmosphere, and spotless accommodations with all the essentials (including a fan and mosquito net!). The view from the balcony is simply priceless. Our only regret was not staying longer. A true gem for those seeking a homely, nature-immersed experience.

This was our best accommodation during the whole trip. Imantha and his family were so hospitable and couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel welcome at their property. The room itself is very comfortable and very well equipped. We had the most delicious food that was served up by the family, some of the best we ate on the trip. Imantha in particular was such a delight and made sure anything we might have needed was handled, even dropping us to and picking us up from the main road in their tuk tuk when we were coming and going. The pictures you see are exactly how it is, the views are breathtaking. Do yourself a favour and stay here when you head to Ella, you won’t be disappointed. A fabulous home stay with your own privacy - the room itself is very nice and clean inside and we enjoyed the outdoor area a lot - taking in the beautiful view, relaxing. Imantha and his family are so lovely and helpful. We had breakfast each morning which was incredible and so we ordered dinner from the home stay most nights as well! Overall a beautiful, quiet little spot which we hope to return to again. We highly recommend other travellers to stay here!

The owner is very attentive and will take the initiative to contact the arrival time of the day and ask the local driver to talk to him to make sure that he can find the way.    The boss came to pick us up with Tuka Tuka.The room was very warm, and then the air in the mountains was very good, and the sleep was really good that night.    The breakfast was so rich that two people didn't have to eat lunch.

The room we had was a little bit small, but this is not a complaint, just an observation and mainly because I brought too much stuff for this trip. I think the second room upstairs is bigger.

Everything. It is a great location with a fantastic view of the forest to wake up and fall asleep to. The natural sounds of wildlife are loud, everywhere and beautiful to experience. The Avendra family are very welcoming, hospitable, helpful and lovely people. The food is fantastic, there is always plenty, breakfast on the terrace with the forest view is always delightful.

Property is nestled in the hilltops of Ella. You hear incredible bird sounds and Buddhist chants from the village. The hosts were so warm and welcoming and did their best best to make us feel most at ease.

Me and my son stayed in this heaven with these beautiful hosts for three days. This was the best place we ever stayed so far. Equipped with everything needed. - Incomparable hospitality of the hosts - Their concern for guests. - Traditional royal Sri Lankan cuisine second to none. - Green nature everywhere you look. - The sound of various wild animals and birds. So where else is better than this? You must stay here. The hosts own tuk tuk makes transportation very easy, They are bound with you to fulfill your needs immediately. According to a proper plan, they will tell you how to visit the attractions around ella and if you want, they will stay with you all day and take you carefully to those places by their own tuk tuk. No matter how many places we have traveled, we have never met such wonderful hosts - beautiful accommodation like this. For those of you who are looking forward to see the beauty of the Ella - stay here - You won't want to leave here at the end !!!

Avendra’s family are the best hosts all around Sri Lanka we have bumped into. Really appreciated son’s great level of English (after 6 days a third Sri Lankan fluent at English). Hot water shower all the time, great WiFi, beautiful scenery out of the balcony and what a 5* breakfast!!!

I was picked up by Imantha at Ella station having been in communication with him during by train trip from Colombo. As I was arriving late he enquired into my dinner plans and offered to take me in to Ella or a home made meal. The feast Goonawattee prepared was a visual and tasting delight as was the spectacular view from my balcony. My lodgings were more than adequate, balcony for viewing and relaxing, comfortable bed and attached ensuite. Sunil and Imantha offer tours and I was able to take in the Bhuddhist temple and Little Adam’s Peak. I was also provided with clear walking instructions to follow the track into Ella, a nice walk from GIA. Sunil also arranged a massage for me in Ella. A standout was the superb coffee they grow on-site have roasted locally and share with guests. Staying at GIA was like being at a nature reserve, what a joy to be so close to monkeys, birds, deer and squirrels going about their usual activities! This is a safe and beautiful place, the hosts are so hospitable, warm and generous. I recommend highly!

If I could give them 100 stars, I would! The place is so lovely, clean, views are spectacular and the food is amazing! The hosts are absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The attention to detail and organization is really incredible. Some examples: they have travel multi point adaptors in the rooms, books and playing cards too! They also are extremely organized and the tuk tuk ride organized to the hotel was absolutely timed to perfection - ensuring we had a smooth arrival. I cannot praise the place is enough - rooms are great, views are better and service is the best!! Since they only have 2 rooms/ mini cottages available, hope you are lucky enough to experience staying with this lovely family! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We have spent two nights in the guest house, in the private villa. We were welcomed very warmly by Imantha and his family. The place is a little hard to reach by car, but that is not an issue since they have a tuk tuk and will pick you up at any time and drop you at the guest house! It's also near Ella, without being located right in its centre, so you will enjoy quiet nights. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and came with a mosquito net. There's everything you need for a short stay there: tea and coffee, a first aid kit, etc. Dinner was very tasty, with huge portions! Breakfast was also excellent, with a breathtaking view over Ella's surroundings. The Avendra family helped us a lot with planning our day tour in Ella, told us about the places we could visit. Great family and all well organized from the start. A very nice spot with a excellent view over beautiful Ella. Everything made with love there from a very helpful and friendly family. The Rice and curry we ordered for dinner was the best we had all over Sri Lanka so far. Mum's cooking at its best! Next early morning a nice little hike to Small Adam's Peak with a great sunrise and a very nice view. We felt like family members and not just like guests... Absolutely nothing-

Probably most awesome place where we ever stayed so far! 5 - 10 minutes away from the busy city center but that's what we expected 😉. Amazing view from our balcony, delicious breakfast, complimentary tea/coffee, very attentive and kindness owners! We had our dinner for all the nights we've stayed here - absolutely yummy 😋. And they even sell beers, so there's no need to search for a liquor store 🤭 And they will always arrange transportation to the city or anywhere for you. The owner even took us to the Ella Rock for see the sunrise with showing lots of hidden sightseeing points where mostly the people are missing unknowingly!. Such a 5***** service - We always felt love here with everything. - Would come back soon!
