We are sure these were the most kindest hosts we had so far! Imantha and his farther took care of everything as if we were family members. Very responsive & warm-hearted people. Views were astonishing in the morning we woke up, could not take my eyes off the mountains since 6am. nature is such a healer. By the way, the bed and the linnen was the most comfortable!!! and the breakfast..! authentic & made with love - what more we could wish for!!… just a lovely stay while in Ella !

Guest Inn Avendra is a nice place to stay above Ella. We booked on a recommendation from friends. The service offered is excellent. Highly recommended is the early morning hike to Ellas Rock with the host's father. Even experienced hikers will not find their way without him. The breakfast and dinner taste very good. We can recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Avendra for 3 nights and it was a great experience. The accommodation is really beautiful and peaceful. The view is absolutely stunning. There was so much green everywhere. The hosts took as good care of us as we needed. We felt very welcome and always received helpful information. The foods here was very delicious and one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. We would definitely come back one day.

Recommendation for the hosrs more than negative points : An extra storage and a few hangers in the bedroom could be helpful for the backpacks and clothes (especially when it's the rainy season). A price list of the extra services provided by the hosts, such as tuktuk rides and meals, to avoid misunderstandings.

The hosts were always available for us, respectful, caring and friendly. They picked us up from downtown Ella (their tuktuk service has an extra cost) to go to their place which is remote form the center. They provided us with an amazing breakfast every morning and packed it for us for the day we left. They built a marvelous room with a terrasse and an amazing view. Having breakfast or chilling after a hike there is so relaxing. You can even see some monkeys in the trees around. The bedroom is beautifully built with a bed you will never want to get out of, even more less with the view over the mountains <3 It is nice to have a hairdryer in the rainy season especially.

We stayed 2 nights at Avendra Ella and habe to say that we enjoyed every second there! The hosts welcomed us so warmly with a homemade fresh mix fruit juices. (The best we've had in sri lanka). Just like in the pictures, The view upon arrival is breathtaking even more.. The accommodation contains of 2 rooms in total, every room with its own terrace and with a view in Magical greenery mountain range. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is served at the own terrace and is just delicious. We were asked every evening, what we would like to have for Breakfast and every morning they served what we loved to eat. We felt like we were Part of the Family! The Host sunil & his son Imantha were so friendly, they helped us with everything and they made a plan for us to visit the places in ella properly without any pressure in one day. The day tour with sunil was absolutely memorable. He was the best guide/driver we ever had. Always with a smiling face, Perfect timing, Always looking out for our safety and took good care of us. Absolutely we had an amazing time there and would definitely book again when we go to ella!.

What a lovely place to stay, truly a dream!. Not only the view but as well the heartwarming people. The room was so clean, spacious & comfortable. Great service, amazing hospitality and such a delicious breakfast. The sweetest host ever, so friendly and helpful. I will return definitely! Note- The road was quite slippery when it rained. But its not a reason for negative point. Everything is ready to lay concrete and build the road. They will finish it within a day or two.

We booked there for 1 night & we stayed extra 2 nights. So... where to begin? We loved everything. Spectacular view, peaceful environment, amazing hosts, it's a great place to appreciate the natural beauty and relax. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. The accommodation is unique and unlike anything we've stayed at before. It is a calm and tranquil space. The family running the accommodation is very warm and friendly. The breakfast was so delicious - huge variety and very tasty. It was one of the best we've had in Sri lanka. No need for AC as the environment is already cool in temperature with surrounded nature, the fan is more than enough. If you are worried about bugs, switch the lights off in the evening, enjoy the natural light and you won't be bothered by anything. Highly recommend anyone who would love to spend the vacation more tranquility. Tips- If you are coming to Ella by train, you can get down from Kital Ella railway station and reach the hotel within 5 - 10 minutes.

The view out of our room was incredible!. Everywhere were so greenery. The room itself was well clean and there was everything we needed. Bathroom was really large and the hot water was super warm. The breakfast was so delicious and one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The hosts were so helpful and attentive, We did an amazing day tour with Sunil and he took us most beautiful places in ella by his tuk tuk. (even at 5:30am to little adams peak). He also advised us on where we can get a good massage and do a cookery course, and called up himself to arrange this for us. This has been by far been our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. Sunil and his family were so lovely and welcoming - We will definitely be returning in the future.

The property is absolutely stunning… nestled up in the hills with an incredible view of the mountains, you feel like you’ve truly found somewhere magical tucked away from the hustle bustle of the streets & city. The entire hosts could not have been more gracious or attentive… they took incredible care of us during our stay… the epitome of hospitality. The breakfast was so lovely-eating & morning in the balcony was so relaxing. Drink as much tea as you can!. We got the dinner for the whole time period we stayed there. I don’t know what kind of magic they add to the foods but it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka!. Would love to return one day!.

We had a wonderful stay at Avendra. The owners really friendly, cares, look after you. Providing you a delicious homemade breakfast served on your balcony & Enjoying breakfast overlooking the adorable mountain views in front gives a feeling of a paradise. This place is ideal if you want to be away from the busyness of Ella, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of Avendra's wonderful location and stunning views (even from your bed). The stars at night are amazing. The internet was good fast here, hot water runs on solar system & hot water were so warm. Some tips:  - If you are coming by train, need to take a short walk to the accommodation, get off from the Kithal ella train station. Have a quick 5 - 10 minutes walk trek to Avendra. (The hosts will arrange a tuk tuk to the accommodation from Kithal ella train station too if you want). Otherwise they will arrange a tuk tuk to ella train station for reasonable price. Avendra is a real hidden gem, only a few years old. The hosts were so lovely, Owner, Sunil & his son Imantha can organise things what you can do in ella with perfect timing!. They have suggestions as you expect and the special thing we noted always they remember to prioritize your idea. We're so glad we discovered this beautiful place, such tranquility, you won't regret it. Exactly we'll back here if we ever return to Sri lanka.

Absolutely beautifully located hotel with stunning views. Villa, the room we stayed so unique & modern with all facilities you might require. Quick and affordable service, best view imaginable, lovely breakfast provided. Staff were super helpful and offered tips and local advice. Hotel is an amazing location on uphill in Ella and easy reach of local hikes (especially ella rock). Quick walk to city centre on foot within 15 - 20 minutes by railway tracks or 10 minutes by tuk tuk. Loved everything & Highly recommend who comes to ella for spend their holidays tranquility. Avendra is one of our favourite stays of our entire trip. Sunil & his son Imantha, the hosts, is more than just hosts, they became something of guidance for us for the rest of our holiday, organising all of our different excursions for us as we left Ella. Sunil and his wife's hospitality is second to none, the thought that went into the room, and all of the little details they provides are so brilliant. It's peaceful and comfortable, with a lovely balcony with a great view to enjoy the breakfast on, while the food is delicious. Staying here feels really like home, and it's also just a brief 15 - 20 minutes walk to main city center of ella by rail roads. The rail road walking trek is really amazing & you can see the small ravana waterfall, paddy fields, gardens and mountains over there. Everywhere is so greenery. The accommodation is close to the Ella rock as well!.. We saw the sunrise at 6 o' clock in the morning from ella rock & Sunil helped us to reach the ella rock early morning with amazing hiking trek. Also he arranged & surprised us with ceylon tea & cookies on the top of ella rock. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we would definitely stay here again - and not just that, we'd get right back in touch with Sunil & his son Imantha to help us get around the country.

Our night in the Avendra accomodation was simply great! We felt welcome from the first minute as Sunil is such a warm and open person who makes a huge effort in order to support his guests with everything possible. The apartment is super clean, super spacious and from the terrasse you have an absolutely stunning view of Ella. You will have tea and water in the room in order to drink as much as you want. Definitely the best accomodation where we have been so far. Thanks for everything Sunil & the family!. We will definitely be back one day!!..

Amazing hotel and amazing host. The hotel is two rooms. This is a separate building, opening the door you find yourself in a stylish beautiful room with a perfect view! In the morning - listen to the birds singing, the sounds of nature and feel at the top of the mountain, where you are absolutely alone watching this magnificent Sri Lankan world. The bedroom has a good bed and access to the veranda where you can have breakfast with a gorgeous view. The bathroom is very cozy 😍. Separately, I would like to thank the tactful and kind owner & his family. We asked him to take us to the center, he did it cheaply and even though we kept him waiting - he was kind to us, very welcoming and friendly, sincere person! Breakfast in the morning was very tasty! We are very pleased with the hotel and our stay! If you go to Ella - 100% take this hotel! And if you are a couple - 200%! You can't imagine better! An amazing hotel and a great host. The hotel is a single room. This is a detached building, opening the door you get into a stylish beautiful room with a perfect view! In the morning - listen to the birds singing, the sounds of nature and feel yourself on top of a mountain, where you are absolutely alone watching this magnificent Sri Lankan world. The bedroom has a nice wooden made bed and access to the veranda, where you can have breakfast with a gorgeous view. It was a bit far and drivers couldn't find it easily, but if you contact the owner before going there, he will pick you up.

The hosts were very helpful and kind, arranged tuktuks and he took us on a hike on Ella Rock to see the sunrise, beautiful! Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The view was nice :)

There was only a fan in the room, I knew there wasn't AC, but it was quite toasty. This is going to be resolved I believe when they undergo the renovations, similarly with the bathroom, that is being renovated later this year. As currently when you have a shower it soaks the toilet, but it's clean and well kept and that's all you really need.

Fabulous stay, the hosts were honestly amazing! They couldn't do enough for us, they even prepared a cake to celebrate our honeymoon! They arranged tuk tuks to get around and the breakfast was truly amazing. The views were amazing and the hosts so helpful, it really was appreciated! The breakfast was different both days we were there which was also nice, the samosa's were amazing! One night we also ordered kotthu which was also amazing!

The double room is musty and the bathroom floor is completely covered in water (even the toilet seat) when the shower is on. Owner said he has plans to renovate this bathroom. The villa didn’t have either of these issues.

We booked the double room and the villa. Both were standalone with a sitting area undercover outside, and tea and coffee making facilities, own bathroom. Owner provided exceptional service, very helpful, and for a small fee he took us into Ella town (5 minutes tuk tuk), and also to the UVA Halputte tea factory. He was very accommodating. Breakfast cooked by his mother was very good, and it was lovely sitting out on the deck. We felt very welcomed.
