The hospitality of the owner is on another level. We enjoyed our stay very much and can recommend this place if you stay in Ella. Try to eat at least once rice and curry for dinner. The host is a great chef and you will save some money if you eat at "home" instead of the town.

The owner and his family are very friendly., They organized a cooking class for us which was lovely. The room which we had was very spacious with a hot shower and comfortable beds. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, with a nice mountain view. We would definitely recommend this accomodation!

The family room is very spacious and offers very comfortable beds,hot shower and a basic equipped kitchen. The breakfast was homemade, delicious and we got a big variety of different dishes. We had also twice homemade dinner which was super tasty and offered also a big variety of dishes. The family is freidnly, warmhearted and has always a smile in their face. They take very good care about their guests, we felt like at home. Thanks for everything. We warmly recommend this Accomodation (we stayed twice their).

We loved everything! The Owner and his family are so friendly and helpful in every way. Perfect location in the nature, with a beautiful view over Ella and also not to far away from Ella Town and the activities. The Room was big and clean, and also very delicious Breakfast wich was delivered on our Balcony. Highly recommended to everyone :)

Bella Ella is super beautiful located a but outside of the very touristic Ella city rush. the garden with all its animals and fruits and a fantastic view are stunning. the host and his family welcomed us super friendly and gave us tea und breakfast every morning at the terrace. the room itself is very self-made but in terms of the price good.

We had an amazing overnight stay at Bella Ella and enjoyed the time here a lot. When we checked In yesterday we were warmly welcomed with a smile, we get offered black tea and a piece of cake. The family is warm-hearted and make you feel like at home and that you are very welcome. They are all super friendly, helpful and mom/daughter are cooking amazing and delicious food. We had a very delicious dinner yesterday evening with typical Sri Lankan vegetarian dishes. Today mornings breakfast was also amazing (we love the typical breakfast so much) - we got a special Fruit Salad with Curd, Dosas with Coconut and Spices, filled vegetarian Dosas and Black Tea. Bella Ella is located in Kithalella, which is a quite and peaceful area, surrounded by amazing nature. The house of the family has a beautiful garden with big tress like avocado, bananas and much more, it's very green and many different animals like squirrels and birds are around. Today morning we met a big squirrel, which comes to get breakfast every morning. The morning light up here is just amazing. Our room offered all we need, 2 beds, a clothes Reck, a chair and a private bathroom with hot shower. There is also a wooden terrace with garden view,to spot the animals or just relax. We warmly recommend this special familiar place and are planning to come back soon :)

A general renovation of the rooms to meet Western standards could significantly enhance the overall experience and eventually bring much more clients.

Bela Ella is a small homestay near the town of Ella. The room we stayed in was very basic, a bit dark and cold. However, the view of the mountains was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and provided a lovely breakfast.

The family were lovely, the room is down was very steep stairs - and the place itself is in the middle of know-where hard to find (need more signs up) and once you are there, no where else to go. Had own transport otherwise the amount you saved by staying way out there would be used up with Uber/taxi etc from Ella (many refuse to go out here also - there is the taxi mafia to take into account and this is too far for them). If you have your own transport, want some time in the jungle then this is the place.

Even we booked place for 7 people, there was one bed missing. There was very cold during the night and they do not have regular blankets :( no hot water in shower
