Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

QatarThe variety of the food at the dinner buffet was great, however, not a lot of choice for vegetarians and picky eaters/children. I mean, there were salads and at least two vegetarian curries available, rice and some sort of vegetable so there were veggie options.
The staff were very professional, helpful, and able to provide support and guidance when needed/asked. During the entire trip, my children rarely ate anything healthy or with protein during our travels. The dinner buffet was challenging for picky little eaters...they mostly ate bread and plain rice. However, one of the chefs initiated a conversation asking if there was anything I needed and I said no, and he continued by asking if there was anything in particular that I needed or wanted that was not available and that they would be able to make it. It was then that I requested for some few items like cheese pizza, plain spaghetti, hotdogs, which he said was not a problem. I was traveling with a few other families whose children were also not eating much on the trip. This experience was great and seeing my children eat more than bread was very appreciated! The chef did not need to offer anything to us, but he took the initiative! The reception and concierge desk were always able to assist and provide whatever we were in need of. Arranging transportation through the hotel was ideal - safe and professional drivers and vehicles. There was always staff around. Even at night, I noticed security staff located in hallways where bedrooms were to keep guests safe as the hotel is open and monkeys, etc can be where you are walking. It was a nice touch! This is my second time at this hotel and I would definitely come back. Surrounded by nature is amazing and I would encourage others to stay here for a few days if possible.

United KingdomThe property is a really good ecohotel with open hallways etc, but just bare in mind this can result in creepy crawleys and geckos in your room. The al a carte menu shown online was different/had less choice than the actual menu in the restaurant.
The hotel has a really unique location in the middle of the forest. The infinity pool is great for sunset and the bar/lounge is nice and spacious. You can even have the chance to see elephants when arriving/leaving the property. Really good eco-hotel

IrelandOne thing I would say is the price on booking.com is not the final price we were charged. Although it was only €52 more when checking out just be careful of additional taxes when booking. The also have many pools, as mentioned above our favourite although we didn’t get long in it was the cafe infinity pool. There is a natural pool upstairs on a higher floor that checked out but it almost feels like you’re in a part of the hotel you shouldn’t be as there’s nobody around.
Really beautiful property near Dambulla. The ground floor infinity pool looks out over a beautiful lake and you can see Sigiriya in the distance. The staff were all really pleasant and nice. We were only there for one night so we opted for the buffet dinner which was really good. They have a lot of different cooking stations and it was really tasty. The room was also really clean and spacious and was a great start to our trip in Sri Lanka.

FranceVery very nice hotel. Worth his price, we had made an error in our reservation day, and they helped us for very long minutes/hours to tackle the issue with Booking and even proposed us a better room for the same price than we had paid for (rooms at this price were all booked for the day). So we could sleep there for the night we wanted and cancel the other one. The employees are awesome and very patient. The hotel itself and the room are very good. And the self-serve buffet for dinner and breakfast were really amazing in term of tastes and choices.

AustraliaMy only complaint would be to offer a late fee range of Sri Lankan dishes at dinner.
We loved the location and how peaceful it was especially considering the hotel is covered by jungle. Also the lovely lady making the hoppers……they were the best hoppers I have ever had.

AustraliaCleanliness could be better in the bathrooms, particularly the shower. The shower screens are opaque and with soap scum. The tiles are black and, therefore, it’s easy to be lazy as the colour conceals mould and unclean areas. However, in this case it has accumulated so much that is totally visible. The only positive side of this un-cleaning situation is that I lost a diamond earring while I was taking a shower, and since they don’t clean the shower, well I was able to spot it easily inside the shower the next day… yay for me! Not a big deal, but although the place has beautiful pools (three that we know of) there’s not enough sun beds available at any of them. The most would be 8-10 and people fight over them fiercely.
Such a beautiful and artistic architecture (well, the amazing Geoffrey Bawa after all!) Such a dreamy location. Peaceful, lush, tranquil, in the midst of so much fauna and flora. Comfortable and specious room. Great distribution of the space. Great restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner every day and the food was different every time. There’s enough to cater all tastes and dietary conditions. At sunset there’s a flute player overlooking the infinity pool and Sirigiya… magical!

What a stunning, peaceful hotel. From the moment we arrived we instantly relaxed and unwound after lots of sightseeing and travelling in the south of the island. The hotel is in a beautiful position overlooking a fantastic lake and mountains. The hotel arranged excursions for us, we used the spa several times, all was perfect
