GermanyThe restaurant right next door was blasting fast techno music very loudly until 11pm. Made it impossible to sleep before that that time. As I am usually an early bird, especially in this climate - so it annoyed me.
Good value for money, comfy bed, Moskito net, AC, warm shower. Up on a hill so take a tuk tuk or hike. Helpful staff, ok breakfast. Perfect budget option.

Perfect location with the beautiful view of the city + in the morning we had a visit from a monkey on our balcony.The staff was amazing, when we arrived we wanted to go to dance show close to the lake. When we told the staff our plans he just jumped into his Tuktuk and drove us to the show immediately. Also the next day we wanted to rent a bike and he arranged it for us during breakfast (ohh breakfast is delicious as well)

PolandWe got a room on lower floor and from balcony you could see restaurant and not much more. They played music very loud but stopped before 11pm. There was no net in bathroom window and actualy a hole in it. We had some mosquitos in the room. The walls were dirty.
Breakfast was OK, it was served on higher floor with a nice view. There was a cattle, tea and coffee in the room and cosmetics in the bathroom.

Great location with beautiful view of the lake. The Sara’s was very nice, friendly and helped us with the bags…. The lovely venue en fixed my broken shoe :) breakfast was super nice 😊

Wonderful people both the owner and staff. They helped with what I needed immediately. The location is pretty good far from the traffic and noise and comes with a lovely view of the lake. Compared to other places I stayed in Sri Lanka, it was pretty clean. Good value for a few nights.

LithuaniaOur room faced the rear, so there was no view from it. However, we could still enjoy the view from the balcony. Hotel on the hill, be prepare to hike or take a tuk-tuk.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel served a good breakfast with a nice view, and the balcony had a great view too. The shower was strong, and there was hot water. They also provided shampoo and shower gel.

Czech RepublicAs for our room, the bathroom and door was a weak spot. After you close it was difficult to open again just with a ring hanging on the door. Also there was too many mosquitoes inside. The staff won’t be too enthusiastic if you do not want to use their services related to transport and activities in the city. But I have to say that the staff is very nice and accommodating.
What we liked most were the views from the room, during breakfast and the breakfast itself. The room had a fan, air conditioning and a mosquito net. If you don't have hot water, go to reception and they will turn it on - we didn't know that. We had really good Wi-Fi which worked great throughout our stay. The accommodation is located a 20-minute walk from the center. If you don't want to climb the 5-minute hill towards the end, you can use a TukTuk for a maximum of 200. Use the Booking maps when searching.

The best accommodation where we were in 2 months in Sri Lanka. The owner and his team are incredibly nice people who will help you with anything and advise you with everything. Whether it's help with a scooter, restaurants or various trips. He gives various tips and tricks and warns you about the various tourist traps in the city of Kandy...and that there are a lot of them. When we needed accommodation again in the next 2 weeks, he kept 2 rooms for us and we didn't have to deal with anything through booking. Every morning he asks you if everything is ok and how you slept, what you have planned for today and gives you some advice. When we left, we were each presented with a bag of loose tea, which is very pleasing. The rooms are well equipped, the water runs warm, the breakfasts are normal, and if anything doesn't suit you, they will accommodate you if possible. I can warmly recommend the accommodation.
