The absence of lockers for my personal stuff : I had to take my computer with me while hiking. The male staff was passing through the female dorm a lot to go to the kitchen. I felt a little lack of privacy.

Perfect if you want to meet other backpackers and if you are looking for a budget friendly hostel. Good atmosphere and nice staff !

You get what you pay for and this isn’t the owners fault at all but the water turning off was problematic a few times, just to make people aware. As soon as I’d WhatsApp the owners they would sort it tho :)

Really beautiful family and really great restaurant. I loved my stay here so much and the beds were super comfortable. Did a bike ride and was recommended lots of nice things to do- could’ve stayed longer :)

I really enjoyed the days in sigiriya and I felt so good for everything until I found I lost 10,000 rupees and one AirPods in the homestay before check-out. Another German girl lost 50,000 rupees, a lot more than to me. The owner tried to help us but I understand nothing more they can do since we don’t have evidence and I know very well it’s impossible for us to get the lost back. It’s not a big lost but definitely it’s an unhappy experience. I always very expect for every first time but not the thing like this, it’s such a pity and alarm for both of the owner and us, just keep eyes on your things and always be safe on the way. Although I still have a good impression for Sri Lanka, the people there are really kind and always help me a lot, I much appreciate for that and I will continue my trip, experience more, write down and share the moments there.

I had such a wonderful time at this homestay and was made to feel so welcome. The family took us on bike tours to popular tourist spots as well as a secret waterfall and helped arrange tuk tuk and bike hire. The breakfast was also great! Thank you so much!

We loved this place. Really friendly people both staff and guests. Great sri lankan breakfast. Excellent food in the attached restaurant. Probably best stay in sri lanka. Would happily have spent more nights but we'd booked our train.

One bathroom for 7 people is not ideal especially when people need to use the toilet and others are taking a shower. But for the price, excellent value for money.

Spacious dorm with comfortable double beds including breakfast, which felt like a treat for a dormitory stay. So reasonably priced, incredible value for money. Lovely helpful family who answered questions and gave endless amount of recommendations. Loved my stay, would absolutely recommend.

Look was an extremely nice host! He gave us so many tips for excursions during our stay and then organised them for us. The meals from his wife and the cooking class were also a dream, we learnt so much and on top of that we got the recipe for the best curry in Sri Lanka. I not only felt at home in Sri Lanka but also in the family. And I will never forget his little daughter, the little sunshine, who took me in as soon as I arrived. Thank you Loku for the 3 days I was allowed to spend in your family.

I loved my stay here and ended up extending! The staff are amazing the owners will make sure you have everything you need and treat you like a good friend the minute you arrive. Isuru will make sure you have plenty of activities, he knows everything and takes everyone out on bike rides, sunsets, hiking he’s just amazing 🤩 The rooms are great, so reasonable and I got a double bed with en-suite and AC so the facilities here are excellent too The owners have a restaurant where breakfast is served every day and their food is great really recommend the kottu I’d 100% stay again and would highly recommend.

There is no lake view but this did not bother us. The internet was intermittent but again we just used our phone data.

Everything was exceptional. The family go above and beyond. Upon arrival we were taken out to view the sunset by Isaroo. He then walked up to the top of the rock for us to watch the sunrise. At breakfast the next day, Loko asked about our plans and he built and organised an itinerary to fit it all in within our short stay. We climbed the rock, visited Dambulla caves and golden temple, Browns Organic Farm, a herbal garden for a massage and to purchase some herbal remedies, a safari (Hudulu Eco Park) on which we seen lots of elephants up close, and made it to a cultural dance at 6pm. It was amazing. Suki's looking is incredible. Delicious and huge portions. Their daughter is lots of fun and very playful. Her English is very cute for 3 years old. Outstanding stay, the people make this home stay worthwhile.

The dormitory bathroom and room could be cleaner. It was not clean. Every time I used I cleaned İt.

Its location is perfect for the ones who dont want to use tuktuk. I went to sigiriya by walking in 20 minutes maybe and 6 - 7 minutes for Dambulla buses. Also there are nice choices very close to the house. The atmosphere of the house and garden was nice and if you meet like minded people, garden could be perfect socialization place. Also Isuru is helpful, he was a bit busy but he is kind and helpful. We havent enough time together but I definetely recommend this beautiful family place.

The family here is wonderful very friendly, went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. The family owns a restaurant just down the road which does the best local food and even showed us how it is cooked. Would 100% recommend staying here!

I had an amazing stay at this village homestay between the jungle run by a nice couple! The host was not only kind and beautiful but also incredibly generous, offering a fantastic cooking class where one can learn to prepare local dishes. the meals were absolutely delicious. The room was cozy and spotless, and the entire experience was both relaxing and unforgettable.

Everything was good

Everything was wonderful. A lovely family ran this business. They welcomed me at their restaurant and guided me through the town to the hostel. When I first checked in, I had the 3-person room to myself for a few days. Everything was very clean and well-prepared for guests. For the first time in my life, I had a big bed in a hostel. They also offered free breakfast and discounts on food at their restaurant. Additionally, they showed me how to cook rice and curry. My stay at this hostel left only positive impressions.
