It is located a little way out of town so you will need a tuk tuk or taxi.

What an amazing place! There is a special feel to Heidi's Home and we felt relaxed and comfortable the moment we stepped inside. The rooms are beautiful with Heidi's painted creations and twinkling lights welcome you in from the entrance. Heidi gave us lots of good advice of things to see and guidance to taxi and tuk tuck costs which we appreciated. Heidi even packed us a breakfast box each as we had an early train to catch the next morning.

An absolutely lovely stay at the bungalow! We arrived and were immediately upgraded to the fabulous honeymoon suite! A beautifully decorated property run by a fabulous lady and her niece. Both were so welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect! Breakfast was incredible also!

Serendipity Heidi's Home is totally unique, I have never seen an artistic interior quite like it. Heidi has painted all the walls with colorful flowers and butterflies, peacock feathers and dream catchers, it's really beautiful. The kingsize bed might have been one of the most comfortable beds on the planet. The suite we had felt like a cozy home. Only one or two things weren't perfect. The wood burner chimney had a crack in it so when we lit the stove the smoke got into the room. And the shower has an electric heater with little volume and pressure. Otherwise a real gem and a must see.

Absolutely nothing! It was perfect in every way!

Where do we start? The whole experience staying here was just perfect! From the wonderful warm greeting from Heidi and her niece to the amazingly decorated property. It’s unique and fabulous, beautifully designed and painted by Heidi herself. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and just an absolute pleasure to stay in. If we ever come back, we will definitely be back here. Heidi also gave some really helpful recommendations for places to see and go to for food. Breakfast was also great! If we could pick this place up and bring it back to the UK, we would!

Heidi’s home was beautiful, amazing artistic interiors. Heidi was very warm and friendly. Beds were super comfty. Location was lovely, right next to Gregory lake. Lovely walk along lake into Nuwariya Eliya. Breakfast was delicious, though would have liked sone more fruit options.

Our stay at Heidi's Home was unbelievable. The room was incredible and we were met with such warm welcome by Heidi who is absolutely lovely. The building itself is beautiful, I've never stayed in such an intricately designed place before, I was in awe at how gorgeous it was. Heidi and her staff member are both lovely, kind and helpful. The decoration is amazing and Heidi’s artistic flair extends to the garden which reminded me of a fairytale. Heidi gave good advice about trips to make and organised tuk tuks for us. Our room had its own sitting area with a log burner which was great when the temperature dropped once the sun went down. Very comfortable bed so slept well.

There was a power cut while we were there, Heidi brought us candles immediately, the power cut did only last an hour.

This place was by far the most colourful we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Heidi is a character, she painted and decorated all the rooms herself, she was very helpful during our stay and gave us some good recommendations. The bed was very comfortable and we were given enough wood to heat the little oven in the room. She even brought us a fridge to cool our drinks and fruits.

We were in the garden rooms under the house. Because of the high humidity I think they might be a bit damp in the rainy season but there is a effective log burner which makes the room warm

Heidi and Kiora(sp?) go out of their way to make the stay as good as it can be. The house is very quirky , bright and original, painted by Heidi and there’s gentle classical music playing in the dining room.

We just stayed one night at Heidi’s home - Serendipity Lake Artistic Bungalow - but took full advantage of our stay. This is a very cosy place near the Gregory lake, just a 10 minutes tuktuk ride from the city of Nuwara Eliya. Heidi organised the pick-up and the drop-off from the Nanu Oya train station and this for free! Thanks again! The same tuktuk driver that picked us up did a tour with us for several hours to the waterfall Lovers Leap, to the Damro tea factory and the city of Nuwara Eliya for a very reasonable price. Coming back to Heidi’s unique place. The rooms are colourfully and nicely decorated with a lots of love to details. The shower is working nicely; hot water comes immediately (which is not always the case in Sri Lanka). Our host Heidi and her niece prepared a wonderful breakfast and are always available for question and support if needed (sightseeing recommendations, help with TV, fireplace etc.).
