The only thing we did not like much was, that the costs of the extra service (tuktuk, food etc.) was not communicated. We still would have done all the things but it would have been better to know before.

We did enjoy our stay in Julianu a lot, the family was very friendly and they have taken good care of us. It's well located, so everything is reachable by walking. The curry we got for dinner was so delicious.

The mattress was a bit hard for my liking but for one night I didn’t mind it too much.

It was my first night in a homestay in SL and if all of them are like Anu’s then I’ll definitely give it a try again! Very clean, very friendly, very quiet yet just a short foot walk to the beach. Lots of storage space in the room and a spacious bathroom. I should have stayed longer - next time then!

One of the best accommodations I have had during my Sri Lanka trip. Great spacious room, amazing bathroom, all furnished with lots of love and style, best breakfast which included amazing coffee (hard to find), really great location close to everything. Anu and his family were some of the loveliest people we have met in Sri Lanka. Really accommodating and arranged breakfast, dinner and a visit to the turtle sanctuary for us. Their house is absolutely beautiful and the room is super modern and has absolutely everything you need, the bathroom especially was really nice. The location is fantastic, only a few minute walk to the closest beach and promenade where there are tons of restaurants. Would love to stay here again!

Nothing really, maybe a mosquito net for the bed and some private outside area would've been great. But it's really no biggie

Very comfy, tasteful decorated accomodation in a central, still quiet area of Tangalle. The bed was comfortable too and the bathroom was the best. You share the terrace with the cute family of Anu. It didn't bother us, but for some people it might be good to know. The breakfast was delicious. And don't miss out on a homemade dinner too! One of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. The beach is just a 5 minutes walk away and Anu has good recommendations for the best beaches and other sights in the area. In general he was helpful with everything you need. We would definitely come back :) thanks guys!

There were a few geckos and some ants in the room/bathroom but don’t think that can be helped much! Also the door is a little tricky sometimes to lock with the key

The room and bathroom are nice and modern. The property is a short walk to the beach and loads of great restaurants. The host is very helpful, I also got my laundry done here which was returned to me the same day.

Calm, clean, quiet place in Tangalle. Very friendly host and his family. Big bathroom, good shared terrace, where you can sit and relax on the table with garden view. Comfortable bed. Good air condition.

Fantastic value for the money! Julianu is a lovely, relaxed guest house located just a few minutes away from the main Tangalle bus station and 2-3 mins from cafes and restaurant. The host is incredibly helpful, making sure you have every thing you may need and enjoy your time. He even took us with his Tuk Tuk to provate turtle watching at night. The bathroom is is arranged in a very modern style

All was perfect.

The room was really comfortable, clean and cozy. The new air conditioner worked really fine - was very quiet. Unique industrial style - not found anything similar in Sri Lanka so it was a really nice experience. The location is really good, because it is close to the city center and bars near the beach.

I had an incredible stay at this welcoming home in Sri Lanka ♥️ The family is absolutely adorable and goes above and beyond to care for their guests. They helped me with everything from organizing a scooter to showing me around the beach and navigating the bus system. The room and bathroom were spacious and newly renovated with a modern, minimalistic design. The porch was beautifully decorated with thoughtful details, reflecting the effort they put into making guests feel at home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE VISITING SRI LANKA 🇱🇰✨
