There was nothing I didn't like. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Really friendly staff. Small but offers really nice food. Eco friendly with free filtered water to refill bottles. We had fresh papaya juice for breakfast that was grown on the trees in the garden. All the food was delicious. We had rice and curry in the evening and it was great. The staff were lovely and patient with our children. Room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Pool was wonderful on a hot day after a safari to cool off. We stayed in one of 4 bungalows next to the pool. It's very convenient for the national park. Only a few minutes drive. The safari we arranged from the hotel was excellent. Cannot rate this place highly enough.

This place was unbelievable! The room was great and had the most incredible views! The staff were our favourite we have experienced in Sri Lanka. So kind and helpful. Pool was good to cool down after safari. Food was great too. Overall I would recommend to anyone!

The road connecting the main road to the hotel felt bumpy.

Fantastic view over the river valley spotting birds flying by, squirrels and even monkeys. Kind and helpful staff bringing food and drinks to the room.

The nicest accommodation we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka. Friendly and attentive staff, super clean and no noise but nature. Would love to have had more time to stay here, a night wasn’t enough!

Nothing- it’s a beautiful place to stay.

We loved absolutely everything, especially the attentiveness from the staff. Everything had been thought through- they care about how you feel during your stay and nothing is too much trouble. They organised the best safari for us with a packed breakfast, and we enjoyed dinner there too. The pool is open until late so we had a fun night swim and tea on our balcony etc etc. Chanuka was the friendliest and made us feel at home from start to finish. We extended our stay for a night and had the best breakfast in house too with fresh local produce.

Nothing - it was what we expected for what we paid and happily stayed for one night.

The staff were exceptional - so friendly and accommodating. You couldn’t ask for nicer hosts! The safari we booked through the hotel and our guide was great. Good value for money and convenient location for the national park.

We had a wonderful short stay in Udawalawe! Our apartment was incredibly spacious, comfortable, the suite was beautifully decorated with great attention to detail.

The wifi was patchy. Room cleaning is not included, which could be an issue if you are staying for a long time.

The property is very nicely kept. Surprisingly very little amount of mosquitos, given that the resort is in the middle of the jungle. The staff was one of the best we had seen throughout our trip, comparable to 5-star resorts. The breakfast was wonderful. The BEST was the safari. Safari with Lasa was AMAZING. We could see that he was one of the most knowledgeable and experienced guides at Udawalawe; we had so many encounters with animals where we were either the only jeep there, or had the best position to see the animals (esp elephants!).

This hotel was a dream. Fantastic swimming pool, gorgeous rooms, and the food was delicious too. The staff was sooo nice and happy to help. They can organise a safari for you too if you need it.

A nice place to stay if you plan on going into udawalawe national park. We did an early morning safari with the hotels driver and had a blast. Amazingly nice driver who knows his animals. Personal Highlight: seeing a one months old elephant 😌

Nothing to dislike !

Had a one night stay.Very warm welcome from Shamika and his staff in beautiful and clean surroundings. Delicious Sri Lanka style breakfast and dinner whilst listening to the peacocks. Very efficient organisation of safari (Lassa, great driver/guide )and onward travel. Also, lovely swimming pool to cool down in.

Great value for money, staff were extremely welcoming. Super close to park entrance. Our driver Lasa was fantastic, he guided us through the safari, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He knew all kinds of animals and was a pleasure to listen to.

A few more drinks options for females would be great. Such a cider, wine or spirits/mixers.

The most lovely and attentive staff. Very much made to feel at home and comfortable. The pool was lovely, it felt like a quiet and like a very peaceful place to be, we wanted to stay and relax. We pre ordered dinner which was great and breakfast was yummy. Best coffee we had at a hotel in Sri Lanka! WiFi was also good!

Lovely staff and great location near the Uda Walawe reserve. Make sure you book a safari with Lasa who did a great job! We saw so many animals and got lots of explanations. He also respected our request not to crowd the animals and to keep a distance when other jeeps were surrounding an animal.

Honestly by far the best stay of our trip to Sri Lanka. Fantastic boutique hotel where you really feel in the middle of the jungle with excellent amenities. We were so well looked after by the hotel staff and they were so friendly and willing to tend to our every need! Our apartment was fantastic with an amazing balcony overlooking the jungle, and the swimming pool was so nice to relax by after the safari. They also have an espresso machine which is not a given in Sri Lanka and so we had some delicious coffee too! We also went on the half-day safari offered by Jungle Paradise. They have their own safari guide dedicated to the hotel, and he is really fantastic. Very nice guy and offers a very personalised tour, with attention to detail and willing to answer any question you asked. Honestly the highlight of our trip and I hope to be back again!

The food was good, but not amazing. There were a lot of electrical issues. Hopefully they were temporary.

Lovely little hotel in the jungle! We were made very welcome by Mr Chanukah. He did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The room was huge and we had a nice balcony and a large bathroom. Great location. Nice heated pool as well and beautifully attended gardens.

It's a nice place to stay when you want to do a safari, very close from the park. It has a nice pool and the staff is very friendly. Our guide in the safari tour was excellent.

As its name suggests, it’s like paradise. Beautiful rooms, the pool is the best one we swam in in Sri Lanka, the evening food was delicious and the safari was incredible. It’s quite remote but there is a restaurant at Jungle Paradise as well as another restaurant just down the road which is also very nice. We did the safari with Lasa and he made it so special for us, he grew up in Udawalawe and knew all the best spots to see elephants. We were often on our own faced with an elephant when other jeeps followed each other to find them.

We loved our stay at Jungle Paradise as well as the safari trip we booked through them. Chanuka could not have been more helpful, attentive and patient - thank you for everything! Jungle Paradise is the perfect base for exploring Udawalawe, we highly recommend.
