Pool was not clean when we were arrived, Traveling way is so difficult according to gMap, Even after cleaning of pool, it wasn’t sterilized so my wife got rashes after pool bath

Amazing place in a very European style area. Wonderful staff and accommodate us with Sri lankan breakfast even they did not have the option for it. Had late night services and was very helpful. Clean and very worth for the money. Always comes back to this place whenever I visit kandy

Location is out of town so not much around by way of shops or restaurants but you can easily order a Tuk Tuk to go into the centre or even order food to the property via pickme app.

Floor to ceiling windows which offered a wonderful view of kandy and sunset. The room and pool were clean. Nice and responsive staff.

The building has no charm, no decoration, painting falling off etc

So here's the situation with this hotel... First of all for the money you pay per night, you can kind of know what to expect. The hotel itself is indeed a bit dirty, there is absolutely no decoration involved and parts of the hotel are being build so it looks like you are inside an unfinished building at times. However the rooms are spacious and clean. I didn't see fungus on the walls or anything like that. The pool area is very limited it has no charm so please keep this in mind. Now here are the best bits. The service guys/caretakers are the sweetest and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. They arrange the Tuktuk connections and the breakfast was actually well done. Warm people is what make a place! So for a budgettrip to Kandy where you'll be spending most of your days going out I would recommend it.

The host was lovely and super helpful, but we were a bit disappointed with the hotel in general. It could be absolutely lovely, but it is very unfinished - for example, cables for lighting hanging out the wall/damp patches on walls etc. The pool area is also nice, but gets no sun. The location is lovely for the views and sunset but to get to the town, it is difficult and many drivers cancel bookings based on the location and the hard road to get there. However, based on the price, it was good value for money.

Property address is wrongly located on google maps, so there might be some issues finding it straight away, but staff (Joshua) helped us with everything we ever needed.

Mould stains on ceiling and walls. No fridge. No mirror in bedroom area.

Don't follow the google map for this place. Contact someone from the hotel before you go. The road to the hotel is very narrow. It is not easy to go back and come if you are planning to take dinner from some outside place. Ordering from Uber may be the best way.

They have a very friendly staff and they're available at any time. The hotel has a spectacular view of Hanthana mountain. The room is very spacious and it has a glass wall for a side to enjoy the view.

it wasn't a place you could walk to from the nicest part of the town centre near the lake but Kandyan did offer free pickup, to get up the hill. You would definitely need a tuk tuk to get there and back otherwise, which the staff could easily arrange.

The pleasant staff tried very hard to make us comfortable. There was a small but more than adequate pool, and the view from our enormous room, with floor to ceiling windows and balcony, was excellent. Breakfast was very good indeed.

Access to the hotel was notably difficult, with the steep climb making it somewhat inaccessible and potentially hazardous, particularly if navigating by bike. This could be a deterrent for some visitors. Additionally, our natural surroundings, while beautiful, brought with them a significant bug problem. We encountered termites on our bed and a considerable number of ants in the room, likely due to the damp and wooded environment. This was somewhat managed with the aid of plug-in repellents, which became essential during our stay.

The hotel's facilities were commendable. A beautiful pool was situated just outside our door, which was a refreshing retreat. The room itself was thoughtfully decorated and equipped with a comfortable, separated shower area. Mornings were delightful with a provided continental breakfast featuring a variety of options including eggs, sausages, and fresh fruit. One standout aspect was the service, particularly from a staff member named Joshua. He was exceptionally helpful, available at any hour, which was particularly reassuring when we needed assistance late at night with an unexpected issue. His prompt response and the thorough cleaning of our room following our complaint about the termites were highly appreciated.

The grubby white chairs at the pool were an absolute turn off for me. The lack of a fridge in the room was difficult, especially as the hotel is so far away from any shops and restaurants. The aircon in our room was impossibly noisy, and we were told the hotel was aware of it, but had done nothing about it. Be aware the hotel is only half constructed, but it isn't a problem.

The best thing about this hotel is Joshua! What a hardworking, efficient, obliging young man. Breakfast was sufficient, but served in an ugly part of the hotel. The pool was lovely, but needed some umbrellas for the loungers. The free pick up from the station was much appreciated, we would never have found the hotel in the hills.

Nothing, it was all very nice.

The hotel is clean and nice, staff were helpful but through WhatsApp, not very present in the hotel lobby. We got to order breakfast at a time that suited, it was filling and on time.
