Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Was very convenient to get to Kavee after my arrival. It was literally 10min from the airport and since I have arrived in the middle of the night it was nice to get into a clean cosy bed with AC in the room and have a good sleep. Sana the manager was also very helpful and kind, especially welcoming me at 3am in the morning and letting me go to sleep quickly. Extra that I was even alone in the dorm so it was an easy and comfortable arrival. Thank you!

Nothing - all perfect
All what we needed. We stayed the night before leaving and they made everything so easy. They arranged dinner for us even though we checked-in late, breakfast and transfer to the airport. The room was so clean and comfy! 🙏🏽

We only slept one night, can’t think of any fault.
Location is a plus if you wanna be near the Airport and/or going to tuktukrental.com. An easy airport pick up , with a very warm welcome. Clean room, simple but efficient breakfast and very friendly staff.

Very helpful owner. He arranged really early morning pickup from the airport, answer all the questions and try to do his best to help me. Also he bought some food for me if I have been hungry after arrival. I appreciate fresh fruits for the breakfast and mango juice. Everything was super clean.

Super clean, great aircon, clean bathroom, great overnight stay after the airport. Hosts were amazing and catered to our every needs, cooking an early breakfast and late pick up at the airport, was great. Highly recommend!

The room was to small for a chair.
The manager is very supportive and took care of everything. He kept staying in contact with me after I booked the room. He picked me up from the airport when I was arriving after midnight after a delayed flight. The coffee and the fruits for breakfast were both tremendously delicious.

Very comfortable stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were very clean & the bed was comfortable. Staff are lovely & very helpful. The hotel is located close to the airport & was convenient for our late night flight.

I loved absolutely everything about this place. It was supposed to be just the place for the night before the flight but the owner Sana made it exceptional. I got so much care from him personally, it’s very valuable. Also the room is nicely furnished. It was the only hotel that I stayed at in Sri Lanka that had all the bathroom amenities (including shampoo, conditioner etc.). Breakfast was very good also. The hotel is new. If you are looking for a place near the airport (10 min by tuk tuk, 35 min from Colombo Fort) that’s the only option you should consider. Love from Moscow❤️

Our stay was truly delightful – the accommodation is exquisite, everything is new and beautiful, and the owners are incredibly kind. They went above and beyond, arranging transportation to the airport and ensuring their guests not only arrived safely but had everything they needed for a stay that transcended a mere overnight stop before departure.

Very comfortable bed, good water pressure, air con worked perfectly. Sana was such a great host and helped us get tuk tuk transport to the airport. The breakfast served was very nice and the tea was great. Thank you for having us :)
