We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The place was excellent. Will definitely be staying here again. The pool is beautiful, the staff was so friendly. What I loved was that it was away from the business of the city, so you have the luxury of a peaceful stay and you can simply walk towards the beach and other restaurants. The food at Lum Residence was amazing, definitely stay on Saturday so you can enjoy their BBQ night.

Sri LankaI spent one night at this wonderful hotel, and it was an amazing experience! The hotel is very clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We also had a fantastic dinner. What surprised us the most was the exceptionally clean swimming pool. Thank you so much, Lume Residence, for your hospitality! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

United StatesVery clean and comfortable hotel with a pristine pool. Friendly and responsive staff, delicious food. Good Wi-Fi, available in any part of the hotel. Wi-Fi was important to me, so I can confidently say that there are no connection issues here. The hotel offers yoga classes, which was a great additional perk for me. There are also other activities like ping pong, foosball, and more, and the staff is happy to join you for a game. I recommend this hotel for both leisure and business. I will definitely return here again.

A lovely quiet retreat on the edge of Ahangama! The building is very new, everything is shiny and beautiful and above all, the place is spotless. The pool is great, the staff is very friendly and the food was excellent.

Beautiful property, every friendly and caring staff, big brand new spacious rooms with everything you need from king size comfortable bed, to fridge anf separate kitchen zone which was very convenient as I stayed for three weeks. It was the perfect price to quality ratio, great location with the beach 10 min walk, close to all the cool spots in Ahangama, Kabalana beach, bus stop, etc Breakfast is included, great big portions and options. Also, they host very cool events daily, lectures, Djs, BBQ, the restaurant serves great food all day, and they have a nice swimming pool to hang out by, wifi is quick and works perfectly, I highly recommend!

NetherlandsThe first two days, we experienced noise from the restaurant (music and loud guests) until 11 or 12 p.m. Our room was close to the restaurant, so this prevented us from sleeping. However, when we communicated this issue towards the owners, they did all their best to solve it, and we did not experience any noise afterwards! We did not get an elaborate explanation on the hotel facilities, activities or room when we arrived. This may be caused by a language barrier as the owners are Russian. We would suggest the owners to explain the language barrier to non-Russian guests on their arrival, use translation apps, or hire someone who speaks fluent English for check-in. The hotel is quite social and organises activities like a ping pong tournament and BBQ. The majority of guests in the hotel are Russians, which means that this is the main language used in the hotel. This might be good to know.
The hotel is brand new! Best rooms we had in Sri Lanka: Comfortable beds, warm shower and rooms are super clean. The restaurant offers super healthy and tasty breakfast, unique in Sri Lanka. The swimming pool is very nice, and the location is good as its close towards Kabalana Beach.

United KingdomThe staff are friendly but they are Russian and their English isn’t great, so communicating with them was a little difficult. Not a big deal to us but it could possibly effect other guests if they needed to communicate more.
Rooms are clean with a spacious, comfortable bed. Nice pool and the breakfast is pretty good! Also not far from the beach :)
