The rooms could be better, a paint job most likely and also the room right next to the door is often noisy due to cars passing in the street. Other than these, a great deal at this price.

Nice hostel in an amazing location, walking distance from the train station and all the happening places. The common lounge area was nice with beautiful paintings, staffs including the owner Bidushka and his family were smiling and helpful, and there was free breakfast.

Nice hostel, very clean and with good location! Close to Ella town center, also on the way to Little Adams Peak. The staff was nice and the breakfast was a good value. I have slept in the hallway for 2 nights which lacked a bit of a privacy and I found it much noisier that in the rooms.

I wasn't that impressed with the breakfast, especially since I have some dietery requierments. I guess it's ok if it's included in the package, but I wouldn't pay extra for it. But again, I can see the effort the owner puts in that too.

Probably the cleanest hostel I've been to. The owner goes up and beyond to maintain the space clean wich is really nice. He's running the place quite well. It's comfortable and quiet enough for a good sleep. Arriving in a room facing the street, I thought it will be hard to sleep, but that was not the case. And I just love the small front yard, it's so cute, especially in the evening with all the pretty lights!

I booked and paid for 2 nights. But I decided to check out the next day. My bed has a blood stain, probably from the previous traveler. During my stay, I met good travelers, but this is the Mad Monkey that is kinda quiet. Maybe because it's Ella.

They have free breakfast. It's a 10 min walk to the Nine Arches Bridge. The staff was nice. It's very walkable from the train station and very affordable.

Good location to little Adam’s peak, 9 arch bridge, restaurants and bars. It’s a very chilled hostel, the host Paritha was a sweet man happy to help at any moment.

One of the beds was basically just in a corridor, but it was comfy and didn’t really feel like too much of an issue

The host was such a sweet guy, breakfast was great and only a short walk from the centre and from places like little Adam’s peak. Quite small so felt very homely

The shower needs a shower curtain, or a floor scraper in the bathrooms. Quite wet after 4 people takes a shower.

Supernice host, took very well care of us, using Google translate whenever needed and could give you tips on the surrounding areas, scooter rent and so on. The included breakfast is simple but good, and he can make you a cup of tea after a long day. Fresh sheets and a good porch to hang out on. The place is cheap so don't expect hotell standard on everything, this is a place you come to for the host, atmosphere and location. Well worth the money.
