Lovely hosts, beautiful view. Lovely dinner all homemade. Really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. Simple and comfy rooms which were great for the price. Comfy bed and pillows. Host help us organise a tour the next day via tuk tuk and provided an early breakfast. Really cosy stay.

Had a very good time during my stay, breakfast was excellent so much food, the view from the hotel unbelievable, room so clean and nice, definitely I will stay there my next visit to Sri Lanka

Lovely family run hotel. Easy walk down into Kandy via the short cut walkable to different restaurants. Owners arranged tuc tuc tour and our transfer to next destination with visits to areas of interest on the way. They also collected us when we came back to Kandy.

We had such a lovely stay at McLeod-inn! They were so flexible with us changing our dates last minute. The room was super clean, had an amazing view of the lake, and the breakfast was so good and filling. They also have a shortcut so it’s only a 20 min walk into the city! Highly recommend!

Incredibly hospitable and kind host! He gave us umbrellas when it rained, he gave us coconuts when we said goodbye. The breakfast and view combination was breathtaking and the location was both serene and excellent for accessing all Kandy had to offer.

Clean room with a view of the Kandy lake. And we got a free upgrade! Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. Personell was very friendly and helped us book a tour around Kandy, which was really great aswell! You can get chilled drinks and Wifi was good.

The shower makes the bathroom wet but we got an extra towel which was okay for us. And there is some noise when breakfast starts.

The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was great, we did not want toast and got extra fruit and eggs, the owners are very friendly. We liked the location, a short steep climb but outside hectic Kandy

Beautiful view place, on the mountain overlooking the lake. Friendly staff, good breakfast.You have to drive to the center and shops.

Not a negative, more a statement of fact, a consequence of the incredible views is that a steep climb from the lake is required if on foot...or could just take a tuk tuk.

Fantastic hospitality, host and family were extremely helpful and accomodating. Good location, especially the rooms with incredible views over Kandy from private balconies (common area also has a balcony with the same view). Clean rooms with huge comfortable beds, great value for money, with a tasty breakfast.

We booked a room with garden/mountain view but our room did have neither of those views, only small grilled window to the street.

My room had a stunning view over Kandy Lake. It felt modern and comfortable, good hot shower, fridge/kettle. There is a handy shortcut down to the lake (if you're ok with steps!). Helpful host and attractive common area/breakfast room with more great views.

We liked it ...and came back! Lovely views over the lake just a short walk up the short cut to the inn. Use the steps by the side of the inn to walk down into town.

Lovely family run place to.stay. The hosts are super helpful and will arrange tuc tucs, taxis etc. Good breakfast and super fast laundry.

Please consider providing linen for guests as carrying extra luggage is a bit inconvenient. Dogs barking right outside our room interrupted our sleep.

Our stay at the Inn was enjoyable. The English breakfast was excellent, and the owner and his family were quite kind. We appreciate their candour in getting in touch with us to verify lost property.

Steep steps to walk the shortest route into the town. Steep walk back up unless you take a Tuk Tuk

Great views from the room and breakfast area. Room was modern and clean. Friendly hosts and good location, approx 20 minute walk from the city centre. Breakfast was plentiful.

Small room, so our 3yo kid needed to sleep in bed with us. All rooms are in front of breakfast area, so you can hear people from early morning.

Very nice family runs hotel, want to help you with everything. Clean room with beautifull view and hot shower. Nice breakfast. At night is very quiet, not so far from city centre, 10min walk, owner will show you shortcut.

The fridge in my room kept making a loud thud every 30 minutes which was a little annoying when trying to sleep, i turned it off in the end so it didnt bother me the second night.

Really clean, nice location, about 5 min from the main street. Lovely people that own/ work there. Breakfast was perfect, toast, jam, eggs, fruit and tea or coffee.
