DenmarkBeing right on the beach means that you're a 10-15 min tuktuk ride away from Trincomalee. Unless you have a ride at your disposal you're depending on taxi/tuktuks
This truly is a slice of paradise, and the perfect location if you're looking to relax and really chill out. There's direct access from the hotel to a super nice beach. The food at Memo's beach is the best we had in the area during our 4 night stay.

Beach is very nice and quiet. The staff were all very nice. Good Sri Lankan breakfast.

ChinaNot worth for money. The price is more than doubled comparing to 3 years ago when I firstly stayed there, but unfortunately the services and facilities got worse now. Inhospitable manager and staff. Even though I already and received a confirmation email from booking.com, they still sent a message to ask me give them a call or WhatsApp for validation otherwise they will cancel my order! And asked 100% full payment when check-in. 3% extra charge is required for money exchange or credit card payment Cushions in canteen are dirty with a lot of stains. the facilities are not well maintained, one bedside lamp doesn’t work, only 2 bulbs of ceiling lamp can work, other bulbs of ceiling lamp doesn’t work. That makes the room dimly lit Poor Wi-Fi Breakfast is simple and crude and not tasty. When we ask for a Sri Lanka breakfast at 8:15am, we were told that it can not be ready at that time.

Such a little paradise! It's so beautiful (the room with sea view and the common area) and directly at the beach with lots of options to enjoy the sea! It's one of the best places I've been to so far! The owners and the staff are really nice and super friendly. The food from the menue might be a bit more expensive than around but it is totally worth the price! And the breakfast (always took the SriLankan breakfast) was unbelievable great!!! The best breakfast of our whole vacation!

this is an absolutely unique and beautiful place. it’s worth coming to Amila Eli only for this hotel :) we loved a beautiful, eclectic style which created a perfect atmosphere. the staff is super friendly and helpful and nice and they make this place so cosy. this is a hotel which you won’t find anywhere in the world. it’s not another copy paste design but a place with a soul. even animals are very friendly and happy. breakfast is super tasty but also served in a pretty way :) beachfront location makes it perfect to chill and relax. we will also have a very special memories connected to this place since we got engaged in this pretty place eating a wonderful dinner under the stars. thank you a lot :)

This memos cabanas cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Cabana is pretty awesome some food is italian classics and some srilanka and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

It's a whole different cozy place in Nilaveli. Situated in absolutely beach font. Rooms are very cleen and they had unique interior designs with lot of anitique decorations. Foods also delicious and freshly made.. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Stayed one night and with everything is was a unforgettable memory.

Amazing staff, atmosphere and location! Riyaz and his colleagues did everything they could to make our stay as best as possible. And they we’re also very nice to have a chat with, talking about all kinds of stuff but overall very friendly! After check out Riyaz offered to bring us to our next stop in Trincomalee himself and even showed us his house and introduced his lovely mother to us. And to top this, he even climbed a coconut tree in his garden and gifted us a couple of coconuts. We continued our ride to Trincomalee where we stopped at a small shop where the manager of the hotel gave us three beautiful seashells as a gift too! We’ve never experienced anything like this before. Like I wrote above, AMAZING STAFF! Thank you very much Riyaz and colleagues!

NetherlandsI don’t like leaving a bad review but the price-quality was not acceptable. it was one of our most expensive stays and it was just not worth it. You can see the place once must have been really nice but it is not maintained as good as it should be. Also the food prices are way to high comparing to other restaurants in Sri Lanka. Staying in a 5-star hotel in Sri Lanka where the room and food are cheaper and much better. If the hotel was around 40/50$ I would give it a much better rating because the decorations are really nice and the staff is very helpful and kind.
First things first, the place looks amazing. You can see there has been put a lot of effort in the decorations. The beach side is nice as well, the beds are really nice for sunbathing. The food quality was really good as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at Memo’s. The décor was quirky and the rooms were a really good size. The food was absolutely fantastic - some of the best we had in our whole trip - and the staff were super helpful. The hotel has a great beach seating area and a short walk away from other places to eat if you fancy it.
