Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JerseyWe liked everything
Comfortable bed in a clean room at affordable price. We stayed in March and it was lovely and quiet. Lovely peaceful gardens to relax in providing shade on a sunny day. Beach is a stones throw away and very safe for swimming. Exceptional food, huge portions, provided by the lovely friendly host, Brenda. Recommend a stay here.

NetherlandsThere were no musquito nets but at least in our hut there was a rope where we could hang up our own net
Lovely huts in wonderful garden, full of chairs and hammocks to relax in. Each hut has its own little verandah. The huts are all individually beautifully and very creatively decorated, an unique experience! Owner Brenda does everything to make you feel at home, cooks delicious meals and speaks very well english. The beach is a stone throw away. It is a lagoon with (very) shallow water so safe for swimming, even for small children. Highly recommended!

Sri LankaJust some netting over the Huts windows would be nice, so you can let air and natural light inside the room without moskitos. But it didn't bother me much.
Love location, very quiet area, surrounded by nature and local hamlets. The decoration of the space and garden with plenty options to hang around. I liked the welcoming staff and fulfilment of all my needs, rack for clothes, moskito net, extra pillow etc. Food is great and Brenda is ready to go the extra mile for your needs. I defenitively will recommend it to my friends and provably will return one day.

United Kingdom20 minutes tuktuk ride from Trincomalee town at the end of a 2 mile dirt road you will find this gem of a place with the beach only 50 metres away. If you like out of the way isolation this is the place for you 🙂 I stayed 5 nights, it was wonderful 👍 I had the beach to myself most days apart from the odd fisherman. The beach is very safe for small children. Kajaa (sorry if I spelt it wrong) and Brenda are very welcoming and both speak very good English; I am sure they found my attempts at Tamil very amusing 😁 Brenda is a great cook 👍 She worries that her food will be too spicy for tourists but its really not so if you like hot, spicy food be sure to mention it to her. When I am this way again Nature Beach Huts will be my port of call 🙂👍

NetherlandsDo not go here for "Coral Beach", its not a suitable beach for swimming. Walk either north or south for 1 hour along the beach and you will find amazing white beaches where even the smallest kids kan handle the waves!
We booked the 3 person room for a family of 4 (kids 4 + 8). We could easily fit in the very big 2 person bed and the single bed. The room was simple but complete, it had a very nice looking bathroom and the airco worked amazing. The outside area was amazing with a nice jungle vibe (A lot of sitting opportunities) and the restaurant/breakfast area was clean and spacious. The biggest pro for us was the distance to the city. It was far enough from all the hectic, but still everything was reachable with a short ride with a tuktuk. Restaurants are reachable by tuktuk, but you can also skip this because they serve good food for a good price. The biggest plus of Nature Beach Huts are the hosts. They speak very good English and they are super helpful. They will definitely go for the extra mile! (Another small plus for us were the kittens that walked around!)

United KingdomThe only thing is that you have to travel via vehicle into the town as it'd be too far to walk
We loved the vibe of the hotel the lodge houses were lovely. Very rustic vibe with cool faucets in the bathrooms! The hosts were super helpful and organised a trip for us, made us feel very welcome and safe there. We had a lovely drink on arrival and were made to feel super special, the food was also amazing! It was only a few minutes from a beach and we did the pigeon island tour which was great we saw turtles and sharks, and a baby shark! Would highly recommend this hotel!

NorwaySometimes there was a bit off a smell from The toilet. This is not The Hotels fault, it is just How The sewer system behaves sometimes. So, I am not writing this as a complain. Only to tell potential guests to not complain about this issue!
This is a gem of a place, a trulte excellent stay. If I could have given more than 10, I would! Brenda is a wonderfull host, helpfull, kind, fun, friendly, and she truly cares about you. The food is great, the huts are really charming, clean, well equipped and well airconditioned. There are also a nice common courtyard, furnished with comfy chairs and hammocks and shaded by canopies and plants. The beaches nearby are beautyfull and can be easily reached by foot, taxi or tuktuk. The closest beach is mere minutes away. This one is a shallow natural lagoon. To shallow for swimming, but great for lounging in the Water. It is calm, even when The sea elsewhere is too rough for bathing. It must also be perfect for small kids! Brenda hires people too clean litter off The beaches, when weather permits. (Impossible in windy weather.) There Are a bunch off adorable cats, and two dogs, at The guest House. They are well talen care off and very friendly, and should not be a bother even for people sceptical to beeing around animals. If you love pets, consider them a huge bonus! A can not reccomended this place enough, for a relaxing stay in a calm eviroment. especially reccomended for families. If you are early enough for booking, don’t hesitate! There

SlovakiaEverything was just perfect! Quiet place close to a nice beach with a very shallow water. One can walk at low tide to Nilaveli beach (15 min walk). Brenda was a perfect, talkative and helpful host as well as an excellent cook. One can refill bottles with a drinking water at the property. Nice well equipped huts with comfortable bed. 10 and 15 min by tuk tuk to Upuveli and Trinco, respectively. Surprisingly no mosquitoes (the first place without them during our 3 weeks travels in Sri Lanka). If you look for peaceful quite oasis this place is for you. Highly recommended!

Sri LankaHad a lovely time with family and friends at the Nature Beach Huts. I saw all the reviews and booked this place and all the reviews were actually true. The beautiful coral beach is in walking distance. I highly recommend this place for nature lovers and for the people going on vacation with friends/family to have some quality time. Staff were really friendly and gave us a lot of information on places to visit.

BelgiumThe food can be improved.
It’s a nice place far from the busy town. It’s like 100 m from the beach (I would say that the beach is not appropriate to bath, very rocky), but definitely nice for a walk or a sunrise. It’s simple wooden houses, made in a very lovely way ! The outside area is also super nice !
