AustraliaBreakfast was a little lax - yes they’ll toast yr bread & yum omelettes available if you ask. Kitchen also prepares the cafe food so I guess they’re often busy??
Location was good, 2 floors of rooms w/lift w/cafe, restaurant & bar all attached. Hotel has a long history in Colombo which I liked - it has beautiful wooden staircase and framed local photos. Note there are 2 sides & car park rooms are quieter but not as scenic as street side rooms.

GeorgiaBathroom is only separated from the bed by milky glass, doesn't feel like a separate room. No window can be opened in the entire room and the air gets quite bad. There is a church opposite the building from which loud music is to be heart starting at 7am.
Pleasant-looking building and interior, central location from which all parts of Colombo are easily reachable (though there is not much of interest in the direct neighbourhood), easily accessible cafe in the same building.

IndiaThe room that I had initially booked was not available when I reached the hotel. Instead of providing me with an upgrade or alternate room of similar category, the reception staff asked me to pay extra as they didn’t have the booked room but a bigger one. I was willing to pay extra provided they could offer me some other benefit like a breakfast with it. However, the reception guy did not understand this and kept insisting I pay higher as they were out of the room which is not my fault as a guest. The guy did not seem very helpful and took a while to finally give us a room at the price I had booked. The other hotel ground staff was kind and helpful. They have a proper parking which is a plus point. The rooms are basic and doable but do not expect any hospitality.
Property is decent and passable. The exterior looks old but the rooms are updated. The rooms are small and compact, no proper cupboard but those with balconies have a nice balcony.

SpainWe asked for a twin room and at arrival it was not. We got a room with humidity and work was going on at the hotel.. after explaining at the desk they kindly helped and changed the room after a few hours while we were discovering the city. A bit pricey for the money ! But all capitals are like that I guess :)

IndiaThe hot water was only warm but it was not a problem since the local weather was hot and humid.
Hotel is ideally located quite close to colombo fort railway station and galle face and nearby to gangaramaya temple. The hotel is neat and clean and well maintained. The property though a heritage building, its interiors are well upgraded to provide the modern facilities. The breakfast was good, particularly the sri lankan cuisine.The staff are well behaved and helpful and provided packed breakfasts on two early morning trips.
