GermanyTravelling as a Family with 3 Kids (5 years, 3 years and 8 months) the hotel was great. Location is just 10 minutes Drive to Sigiriya rock. The room (Deluxe Family room) was realy big, clean and had everything we needed. Staff asks you when you want to have room Service. The Pools were great for the Kids. The breakfast and Dinner buffet where ok, a mixture of Sri Lankan and touristic, Western style. The staff was very nice. Wi-Fi did not work well in the room. All over a nice hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, they helped us book taxis. The food at the restaurant and breakfast was nice. The room was spacious, with good toiletries, fridge, mosquito nets and a nice bathroom. We also enjoyed the pool. The stay was about a 15 minute tuk tuk into Sigiriya.

The deluxe double room was not good - the piece of wood ("door") between the bedroom and bathroom did not close and left a gap of about 5 inches - not pleasant for privacy. Could have used mosquito nets too as there are a lot of bugs in the area.
Well located - 10 min drive into main Sigiriya. Family room was more modern and better quality. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomI think it’s worth saying this resort is probably not for those looking for a “party” vibe. It’s also not a high end luxury resort although everything was clean, modern and we had everything we wanted. It’s not a criticism at all we had an incredible stay and would recommend 😊
We have just finished an awesome stay at Nivadoo as part of our two week honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Just for context we are a 31 M and 30 F, this resort was perfect for exploring the ancient cities. We visited Sigriya, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla Caves/Temple from here and it was an awesome place to relax after a day doing stuff. The service was amazing, the team were so so lovely and it had abit of a family feel to the whole stay. I would definitely advise getting all 3 meals included, we found this to be excellent value for money and although there are some local restaurants Nivadoo is in a rural location.

Fab hotel with welcoming staff and well-appointed rooms. Easy access to the main road (a very short walk) where you can find restaurants, cafes etc. Lion's Rock is a short tuk-tuk drive away. Due to the use of solar, shower water takes a while to heat up (also mindful that it was raining heavily during my visit) but once it's heated all is good.
