Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing major.
I went with our family and we booked 3 rooms in total to stay 2 nights. One was AC and the other two were non-AC. Purpose of our trip was to visit Ruwanwali Maha Saya and also to worship Mahasaya with Kirihara Poojawa in the morning. The owner of the facility was very kind and helpful. His level of service is at next level. He allowed us to use the kitchen to prepare Kirihara Poojawa. Proximity wise, I would say this is located in ideal place with calm and quite environment. It takes only couple of minutes to reach to Pooja Nagaraya. Our kids got a change to play as the facility has ample space in the garden. We had an opportunity to have breakfast in both days morning. Food was absolutely delicious. All in all our purpose of visit was very successful and this wound not be done without the support of the owner and also the comfort of the facility. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay at Nugasewana Guest! Perfect location near Sri Maha Bodhiya, well-maintained rooms with comfortable beds, delicious lunch. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Location
This place is convenient for all facilities and closer to Jaya Sri Maha Bodiya and train station . Nice and calm place to live . God for price . Owner is friendly and helpful . I recommend this place for visitors.

Don't forget to bring your own drinking water and toiletries.
Only 900m to the train station though nice and quite place, you can see a lot of birds in the morning around the room. Nuwara lake is at walking distance. Owner is very friendly. we had a very tasty local cuisine.

There weren't any proper toiletries.No complimentary water was provided which is not a problem but the blanket(bedsheet as a blanket!) given was in very bad condition (wrinkles) and not up to the standard for the stay in the room.

I had a booking for an a/c room. When arrived to the place they wanted to give me a stinky, mould smell room. For the a/c room they wanted to charge me 2500 R extra. Al though I had on my booking reservation clearly saying that I booked for an ac room.

Bed is comfortable with clean sheets, pillows, and blankets. Provide a dresser or closet space with hangers for guests to store their belongings. Room has adequate lighting for reading and getting ready. Room is clean and well-maintained for your guests' comfort.

The facilities are very good. The owner of that guest was very friendly and gave us a tuk for the trip at a reasonable price. Everything is great I highly recommend Nuga Sevana Guest. Thank you

It was so close to the railway station as well as the sacred city.The owner was really helpful and he was ready to offer any help.It was really easy to reach the guest house because he contacted a three wheeler as well.There was a clean kitchen also.The room and the bathroom was very clean.Highly recommended for anyone who wish to visit Anuradhapura.

Surrounded by nature, so it's not too hot. Nice, clean and comfy room. AC works perfectly. TV was also available. The owner helps a lot with finding transportation for affordable prices because the Tuk Tucks available near the railway station charges unreasonable amounts. Really friendly and helpful owner. Definitely a perfect place to stay if you're visiting Anuradhapura. It's just 1km away from the railway station as well. Highly recommend for anyone.

The location was near to the Jaya srimaha bodhiya & Ruwanweliseya so easy to reach the pilgrim those places. helpful and obedient staff. Reasonable price.

Excellent location and it is close by to the Anuradhapura Railway Station. The host made everything he can pleasantly for our stay at this guesthouse. The room is clean and with excellent beddings.
