Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff were very good and helpful. Rooms were nice. So close to the Main Street. We didn’t have bf in the hotel. Wanted to try some places in the Main Street.

I got overcharged for my booking which they did correct once I mentioned it, however it was very noisy lots of other guests slamming doors, dogs barking, loud music. The room had an odd smell
Good location, close to restaurants and shops, it’s pretty cheap and cheerful you get what you pay for. Okay for one night but wouldn’t stay any longer.

There is no lift and hence getting to 2nd floor for elderly citizens can be a big challenge. Property maintenance is also not top notch.
Rooms are big and clean. Property is near the busy section of Ella where most of the pubs and restaurants are located.

There was no WiFi signal in our room, however the receptionist kindly found a solution which meant we did not have to change room.
Good location, large clean room with balcony in good condition. Drink facilities in the room were good and the room including the air conditioning was fairly new and up to date.

Construction work at the property, noisy and disruptive. I think the hotel should state this when booking as had I known I would have booked elsewhere.

The receptionist did not speak any English so we could not get any information about different activities. Also, we didn't get our 900 rupees in change back as there was more miss communication. I really think you need someone who speaks English on a reception in such a touristy area. Also, the electricity kept turning off so our phones were not charged in the night and the TV did not work.
A really good location in the city center, with bright rooms.

Basic room with basic amenities. Nothing fancy or comfy, just a functional accommodation for stay. Closer to a private room in a hostel than a "hotel". Rooms aren't sound proofed, so some outside noise is there. Property is in dire need of a face lift. Fortunately, construction work is going on, and hopefully it will be better soon.
The staff were very nice people, very friendly and supportive. Location was excellent, just a few steps away from the main street of Ella town's busy bars, shops, and restaurants.

The room did forget to get cleaned, buy when asked they were more than willing to remedy.
The location was handy to everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wish they had a lift… my only feedback. But it’s not a problem at all .
Location and friendly staff members , from the gentlemen at the reception to everyone else is purely pleasant and nice to chit chat with . I totally recommended this place to stay for a family . Loved the rooms

No accommodation for the driver which is very unusual in Sri Lanka and I had to pay additional Rs 7000 for the driver to be in another hotel

All fine. Though you need to run shower for 2mins before hot water came through. Not a big issue.
Roomy, balcony, spacious shower, hot water after about 2mins of running shower. Bath soap and shampoo. Safe deposit box, short distance to restaurants. Clean. Laundry 2 doors down. Traffic noise was subdued, didnt annoy us. Though early wake up with bird calls. Quiet air-cond. Friendly and accomodating staff.

The price is so reasonable, we couldn't complain about anything.
Large room. Large and comfortable bed. Shower had decent water pressure. Place provided to store toothbrushes. Mini fridge with complementary water. Coffee making facilities. Great tv, with English speaking channels. Close to restaurants and other sites, as well as places to get laundry done. Friendly staff both at check in and check out.
