The trains passed the hotel and they started at 4 am a bit off putting on the first. couple of days but they became part of the experience staying at the ocean view.

The breakfast consisted of fruit eggs and toast with all the tea we could drink we found it very Sri Lankan

It was hard to sleep as the noise of the highway was constant. Also itt would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.

The staff were very nice & helpful. The location right near the beach & close to shops was excellent. Breakfast was huge & tasty.

Wifi could be better.

50 metres from the beach a certain charm &great view. There is a rail line next to it & which is noisy when train comes through but it didn't bother us in fact found it quite charming.

No chairs for sitting on grass and not enough sun beds . Also asked for clothes dryer didn't give us one . Fridge would be nice

Lovely room needs new towels . Asked for a kettle were given it. It's ocean view no view as in another block away from sea but also you don't get railway noise

The railway is literally in front of your room which is a fun during daytime..not so at nighttime.

Very nice beach nearby just beond railway..Several turtle rescue stations on the main road.Nice food

Unfortunately didn’t receive an answer toenail or messages to have my daughters AirPods returned. We have located them to the property.

The train passing right past the house was an attraction. The accommodation is clean and the people are friendly.

Our toilet was a bit broken which was a little bit annoying but didn’t ruin our stay at all. Also you can hear the train quite loudly in the ground floor rooms- we didn’t mind it but it did wake us up a few times in the night.

We loved the vibe at Ocean View, the property is minutes away from the beach but the railway between you gives a unique feel like you’re half in countryside, half by the ocean. We property is big and spacious and the AC rooms on the first level look very luxurious. We booked a fan room which was ground floor, it suited us fine and it was also spacious. We loved that we got to see the train pass so close to us and also loved how close we were to the beach. The staff were super helpful and lovely! Thank you!

The location is not what was described. Very minimum ocean view. And train track runs just 10m from the room. Facilities very minimum. I went to the beach there was no chair or sun bed in nice condition so I’ve used next doors facilities.

Unfortunately nothing wowed me.

The accommodation was right next to the railway line. Although this wasn't major problem for us some guests may find it offputting.

The room had all the amenities we needed and was very close to the beach - so much so we went to sleep to the sound of the Indian Ocean.

The property is right next to the beach. The best part is, it is there is a live rail road in between the hotel and the beach which makes it scenic at its best.

Breakfast poor ,omelette was more like a pancake not at all good value for money. No where to hang bags or clothes. Access to hotel poor.

The train crosses the yard of the location, 10 meters from the building, but that happends everywhere in Bentota

I found it funny but you need to know that train pass 5 mètres from hotel. It’s récurent.

Very special location when you’ll feel in local area. The beach is amazing. The personal is very friendly and they serve a good healthy breakfast.

No visible signage when arriving from the south but mostly, since when did a hotel charge a 10% service charge?? Bars, restaurants all over Sri Lanka now add 10% as an excuse to push up prices by stealth. But a hotel???

There is only a fan so it is quite warm in the room. It is quit far from the town centre but therefore you habe the beach almost to yourself.

The location is very cool as the beach is just across the train track. They have sun beds available for you.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful beach-side hotel. The trains passing by were a lovely touch and we loved that you could walk to a number of beach-side restaurants. The beach by the hotel is so beautiful and quiet which was perfect.
