We stayed for 3 nights when we first arrived. The hotel isn't far from the airport and they arrange a pick up for you. It was just we needed after a long flight. Cosy. Chilled, great pools, lots of shade and the best way to settle into Sri Lanka heat. Lots of families staying for the same reason. We did a day trip from the hotel which they recommended and sorted out for us. We went to monkey island. Perfect The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Made you feel part of the family. So relaxed.such lovely people. The pools were great, all the gardens stunning. Breakfast was just wonderful

Optimum Residences made our first night/day in Sri Lanka incredibly easy. We arrived at 1AM, and contacted them via Whatsapp to arrange pickup at the airport. They arrived within 15 minutes and gave us clear directions where to meet them (out front of airport in front of post office). From here we made the short commute to the Residences. Safe, secure and very comfortable. We were greeted by the owner who showed us our room. It had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, clean room and a bathroom with good water pressure. In the morning we enjoyed a beautiful, filling breakfast with attentive staff. Our children made use of the pool and waterside while we got our bearings and packed up for our next destination. Prior to our arrival we had been getting prices for a van ride to Dambulla. We were misquoted by the host of our next stay (we knew the average costings for travel and knew he has quoted us 3x the price). Optimum Residences gave us an honest quote and followed through with exceptional service. Driving our family over 3 hours to our next destination. We are very grateful for this, and made the easy decision to rebook here again at the end of our trip for not 1 but 2 nights so we can enjoy their beautiful facilities knowing we will be assisted along the way from our 2nd last destination to theirs, then on to the airport. Highly recommend for anyone travelling solo or with a young family like us, to know you are in good, safe hands.

They have been very kind and available to fullfil all our needs for food and transport. The breakfast pack that the lady prepared for us in the morning was just perfect in terms of food and comfort!

This hotel is a great choice if you need to be close to the airport. They offer airport transfer too. The hotel is nice and clean, they have a restaurant with tasty food. The personnel is super kind and helpful.

The shower was a bit cold and water pressure not the be at but other than that everything was clean and satisfying .

Very nice property with clean pool andnintegrated family restaurant. Food was amazing and the staff incredibly kind. They even prepared breakfast for us when we had to leave for our flight early and the complementary airport shuttle is amazing.

Lovely comfortable hotel, extremely good service. Nice room, lovely pool area and restaurant. We had a very early departure for the airport (before 5am). The hotel organised us a complimentary drop off at the airport and our hostess got up to make us a packed breakfast and to see us off.

For the price there was nothing negative.

Free transfer to the airport at 04h was a definite bonus. 2 swimming pools on site so never busy. Restaurant was open "all day" Staff very helpful.

Definitely value for money. Beautiful place and airport shuttle is very convenient. Rooms are basic (for the price more than good enough) and very clean. We stayed here when we arrived to Sri Lanka and also when we were leaving. Second time we had an issue with a room (which can happen of course) and it was very quickly resolved by the staff which was always very friendly and available. The communication with them made it easy for us as a family with small children to arrive to a new country.

Nothing - all was excellent.

Great facilities, perfect for a family with small children. Basic, but clean rooms. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Location is 15 minute drive from the airport, making it a great option for a transit hotel.
