What you get for your money here is fantastic value! First the free pick-up from the airport was simple and smooth with a good driver, who we then arranged for us to drive us to Sigiriya after our stay at Optimum. We had a family room with was spacious, fresh and clean. Felt newly painted and bathroom new. Beds were comfy and included a blanket. The area is quiet and the grounds/garden green and Lucious. The two pools were great, and our kids loved the slide, although it can rip holes in a swimsuit! The food in the restaurant is tasty, breakfast is a great buffet spread and we enjoyed the freshly made rotis etc. friendly service.

Everything! We booked this hotel as a first point of reach after our international flight. We were greeted at the airport by a very nice driver who drove us to the hotel in 20 min :-) We arrived very early (6.30 A.M.) but still the STAFF was so incredibly FRIENDLY and accomodating, we could check-in early and have a little rest in the room and at the pool. The hotel is amazing, with 2 pools, the rooms are big and clean, there is warm water and the A/C is perfect, silent :) The town is reachable in 10 min by Uber or taxi (or Tuk Tuk) The hotel has a restaurant where we can eat all day, with variety of dishes, fruits, shakes, and smoothies. We so much enjoyed our first night there that we booked 2 other nights on our way back after 18 days on the road, My daughter got sick at the end of our trip and the whole staff were super efficient calling a doctor and organizing an appointment in the room. The day we left, we had to be at the airport at 4.am. and the staff even cooked for us to have a breakfast to go and we again benefited from a free airport shuttle. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for this stay If we come back to Negombo, we will definetly come back to this hotel and recommend it to anybody :-)

Such a wonderful family owned place of stay. Provided all our needs and drop off to airport free of charge. They gave us takeaway breakfast. Dropped me to the nail bar close by. Our room was wonderful with the slide directly outside the doors.

They picked us up from the airport which was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful to organise stuff. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the pool, kids loved the slide. Breakfast was delicious. Overall a great place to stay upon arrival in Sri Lanka.

It’s a good place to stay just after arriving or before departing from Sri Lanka. Close to the airport and they offer free shuttle which is very convenient. There are 2 small pools and a beautiful garden. Owner is super nice and helpful. She made us packed breakfast as we had to leave early. Rooms are very basic, but that’s all we needed for 1 night.

What a wonderful way to spend our final two nights in Sri Lanka! Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful. In particular, the complimentary airport taxi service was really appreciated. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, with something for everyone. The hotel restaurant is also very good, we ate there twice and enjoyed our meals. Our family room was lovely and spacious with super comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. The complimentary soft drinks in the mini fridge and dental kits were a fabulous extra perk Perhaps the highlight for our kids however, was the pool with a slide and a gorgeous garden to explore. We would thoroughly recommend Optimum Residence!

We stayed here for a night at the end of our trip, and it was the perfect place to relax after a few weeks of backpacking. The room was big and comfortable, the workers were lovely and accommodating, the food was great, and the location was excellent with a tuktuk driver at the hotel to take us to nearby restaurants. We loved it!

I hadn't found a blanket on the bed yet and the shower was a bit difficult to regulate.

The hotel room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom. comfy beds & a/c. The free airport pick up (after midnight) was really appreciated! The family are super friendly, and really accommodating - especially as I needed to stay way past my check out time. The breakfast & lunch was also delicious! The setting is very pretty and surprisingly quiet. Highly reccomend!

Lots of ants in our room, run down shower and no sheets or blankets automatically provided on top of beds. Limited breakfast selection. However, it is a cheap and cheerful hotel, great value for money.

Being hungry when we arrived so late. Air conditioning was on so cold so i looked for more and more jumpers in my luggage. I was too tired to sort out aircondition.

We arrived around midnight and got to Optimum at 1.30am after getting SIM card and getting money from ATM. It took a while for me to connect and contact them. Finally met up with driver. They did a good job in finding us as cars not allowed to stay outside airport. They were also helpful in directing our tour guide to hotel for a pick up in the morning. Good breakfast. I would recommend for stay.

The staff is really friendly. They make you feel very welcome. The room is very big. Everything is so clean and nice. The garden is like a paradise. The two swimming pools are amazing. It is like being at a resort. The distance to the airport is only 15 min by car. They arrange the transfer for you and you can trust that it will work. I am so sorry I was here only one night. It was one of the best places during my whole trip through Sri Lanka. If you search a place close to the airport and just perfect you should stay here. It is a very good start or an amazing end for your holidays on this beautyful island.

Everything was just what we wanted.

We booked Optimum Residencies for our last night in Sri Lanka and were so glad we did. We got a good night's sleep knowing we had a free transfer booked in good time for our flight and enjoyed an early morning swim in the lovely pool as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and we appreciated the packed breakfast to take away!
