Room, although basic & clean, was tatty and the stairs up to the room, steep with no handrails - I did feed this back to the staff. Also the bathroom floor (wetroom) smooth and dangerously slippy after a shower The furniture in the outside communal areas was tatty and broken, meaning taking advantage of the views and sunset not ideal - a few simple changes would rectify this

We had the most wonderful stay at Zeilan Susnset Point! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with fresh watermelon juice (exactly what you need during this hot weather). Mr. Tharindu and his team, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality was truly exceptional, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the ocean, with serene waves and picturesque surroundings creating a perfect escape. Waking up to such a picturesque sight in the morning was a treat! The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with a unique theme, adding to the overall charm of the place. Another highlight of our stay was the breakfast, it was delicious! the Sri Lankan paratha with dal was an absolute delight. It was great to get a taste of authentic local flavors, and we truly appreciated the effort that went into preparing such a wonderful meal. Beyond the beautiful setting and great food, what really stood out was the warm and friendly service. The staff were always ready to help with a smile, offering great recommendations and making sure we had the best experience possible. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with breathtaking views, clean and comfortable rooms, and outstanding hospitality, this is the perfect place to stay. We highly recommend it and would love to come back again!

- in our room the air conditioner was very loud and disturbing - no hot water in the shower in the evening - the swimming pool can’t be used as it needs cleaning

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Zeilan Sunset Point! Huge shoutout to Tarindu (Operations Manager) and Pubudu (Front Office Manager) for taking such great care of us. They made sure every little detail was perfect for our group and even handled our last-minute change of plans to Hiriketiya without any hassle. Their friendly and helpful attitude really made a difference

The bathrooms looked quite worn-out, and there were small, old soap bars about the size of a finger. Unlike most hotels, no soap or shampoo was provided, so it’s best to bring your own. The building has an antique charm, but this also meant there were some worn-out pieces of furniture. One of the rooms had a broken A/C that was leaking water, making it uncomfortable to step in and out of the room as we had to walk through puddles and deal with dripping water. The breakfast was OK.

The hotel offers stunning views and is conveniently located near all the major beaches, making it an ideal choice for travelers. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very helpful—truly some of the friendliest I have ever met. Their warm smiles and exceptional service add to the overall charm of the stay. Additionally, there is ample parking space, ensuring a hassle-free experience for those traveling by car. Highly recommended!

The facilities needs some maintenance and repair. Sometimes we had no hot water. Otherwise all was good.

Great location, quiet place, stunning view of ocean. Lovely garden. Nice and helpful staff, especially manager. Made us some bonuses for free. Breakfast with a part of local food, witch was very interesting to taste.

Swimming pool needs some attention, the grouting between tiles has come off which exposes the edges of the tiles/chips which my son cut his feet on twice and refused to go back in unfortunately.

Lovely family running this hotel, so friendly and kind. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice. Our rooms (double apartment) were really clean and very nicely decorated with a beautiful private patio and sunspot

The other room had no window and the AC in the other room didn’t work properly. Swimming pool needs a clean and reparation.

Nice view from the balcony, large room (actually two rooms with own toilets). Breakfast was really delicious and there was a lot of food! We ate there almost every meal and everything was good and it was reasonably priced. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, we had an execellent service from them!

Card payment was not working so made it difficult to pay for us.

Its run by a family which is very warm, religious and welcoming. They also have a loving and friendly dog and cat for cuddles. The rooms are spacious with stunning views overlooking the ocean. The breakfast is home cooked and delicious. Lots of warmth and good vibes in the place. Highly recommended.
